It’s a shame that much of America is feeling the same pain. Not sure how we got here but we have and many are feeling it. I hope it gets better I wish I could help

He can get day work on the veryable app if they have it in your area.

I’m a single mom to 3 kids with special needs. I work 3rd shift as a CNA 7 nights a week just to barely get by.

I’m exhausted every day.

Apply for food stamps and child care through the state. If your illness truly prevents working apply for disability. There are also programs to help with rent and utilities. There is help out there you just have to swallow your pride and apply.

Don’t give up! Are you up for remote work? Try signing up for a LinkedIn account, add your skillset, and then you can do a search for remote jobs only (aka stay-at-home). There are a ton. Your fiancé can also submit resumes this way as well, and who knows, he could even land a remote job too, something that pays well.

Hello! Single mom of one. Currently jobless because I can’t afford to put my kid in camp or pay for a babysitter. I don’t have a lot of help. It’s been since June. Struggle is an understatement.

I just recently went from 2 incomes to 1. Struggling with Bill’s and companionship too

It’s a horror show right now for sure. I’m 61. I’ve NEVER seen it so bad. Everyone is struggling.
Do we pay the bill, or buy food. Because in today’s economy you can’t do both. I wish I had an answer to give. Hopefully things will change next November!!!

Try looking for community action groups that usually have referrals to places for assistance for grants to help for bills like utilities, sometimes help for car repairs especially for working families that still cant afford the repairs but need the car for work, near the holidays they can help you apply for Christmas help etc. Would be a good resource to find for anyone in need to find for your area each county/city usually has one. Might have to google or call 211 to find it

Apply for food stamps, TANF, WIC, housing, disability. Prayers coming your way sweetie

Preach…I work 2 jobs and my husband is a truck driver. He’s currently looking for another job that drives but no OTR that brings in at least a bit more than he does now. Cause even with my 2 & his 1 we’re just keeping our heads above water. It’s so damn difficult. I blame the government for this BS

My mother could have written your post as she was many years ago. She was widowed young with four children under 5 years. She couldn’t work because she had no childcare. Her kids made it to adulthood thanks to her efforts. Like you, she skipped meals. She “already ate” in the kitchen a lot. We ate a lot of meals which were just mashed potato. I did the same when my husband lost his job and I couldn’t work because of our daughter’s special needs. We made it through and so can you. It can’t last forever. Remember, as others have also commented, this too shall pass. In the meantime ask around. In these hard times kind people help. Is there a food bank, can the church community help? Don’t give up and give yourself some praise for getting this far.

The costs of living are absolutely ridiculous. You are not alone.

Keep calm and ask for government assistance. Some help with food, housing, child care. There is also public day care in case you can handle a part time job to relax a little. As a part time you can also babysit, care for elderly, just to make a extra $$. Stay well! You mental health is valuable

Adt hires remote agents. Cox communications did. If the cable service is in your area .

I used to do transcription from home And depending on how much time you can dedicate to it you can make $200-$400 a week. You do need to be able to type a certain speed and will have to pass a grammar and punctuation test though.

Check with your local FSSA benefits see what you might be elegible for

I’ve posted a website listing tons of legit work from home jobs. I actually first started with G1 research (they are still hiring, I believe. It’s a phone survey job regarding current economic or political issues usually). I worked for Appen for 2 yrs also, which has multiple jobs that are non phone work. Search engine evaluation, and quality assurance. I now work part-time buying and selling online.

The list of jobs I posted and/or the two I can fully verify pay a bit more than minimum wage. Some will bring more pay depending on experience.

I’m a house keeper. I started my own business about two years ago and it’s going great. I posted on Facebook advertising my job and got lots of hits on it. The thing is I have three kids and now my fourth on the way. Two of my chh Hh listen are school age and the other is not. But I’ve always take my kids to work with me. Now I will say I’ve lost a job or two because people were not comfortable with my kids coming but for the most part everyone’s fine with it. I work 3-5 days a week and sometimes only an hour or two a day. I charge by the job so a lot of time I work for 2-3 hours or however long it takes to get it done and make between 100-150$$. My regular houses range from $125-150$.
Just saying maybe try something like that. My kids are 6,4,&2. And sue I’m November. I also watch there cousins who are 7& 9. Currently they are all outta school but I take them all with me. And it works out fine. Get paid for cleaning and babysitting!! Good luck mama
