If I’d have had a girl, she would have been named Kailey Anne. I fell in love with the name Kailey when I was a teen, and that was the name of a character in a book I read.

We have Erica Rose and Edie. Erica was going to be called verity rae. I love old fashioned names. You might want to wait and see who she is thus helps some.parents who struggle xx I have a friend with a little girl call marvella I never hears lld it before but its lovely

My parents were so happy to have me, they picked Joy. It has a great meaning and goes with everything, so it makes a great middle name, too.

We named our daughter Clarissa marguerette Ann. Marguerette was a family members name and Clarissa was chosen by her father. My second choice was Amelia

Totally agree with Daisy Graham - just wait until you hold her for the first time and a lovely name will just come to you.

Lily marie, haylee Lynn, caitlyn jewel, Mia grace just for a few. Middle names are great place for family names. Like grandmother’s first names for the lady who kinda raised you. Good luck and congrats

My girls are Morgan Eloise, Madison Mae and Macey Rae. But I love the names Polly and Nelly

Must you all name your children so that they will be special! You curse them…they have to spell their name over and over and over and over. Sad!

I had 4 sons and if I had a daughter I was going to name her Christina because she could go by Chris or Christy or Chrisy or Tina depending on her preference and personality. Also it’s not a name that she would be teased for. I thought Marie would be a good middle name

My baby girl is named Lyla and her middle name is Rae. We picked Rae as my husband was always called “sunshine boy” by his grandparents and sadly his grandad passed away in December before she was born. (Like a ray of sunshine) The middle name was a nod towards them xx

I didn’t have a girl name picked out so I didn’t name my daughter until I saw her…Emily Louise …I chose Emily at the time because it was an old fashion rarely heard name then 3-4 yrs later everyone was naming their girls Emily …popular names in 1988 were Ashley Brittany Courtney and I didn’t care for those popular names… we liked Amy also but she looked more like an Emily … Emmy Lou but we never called her that.

Anything but your mother in law wants! Never give in to them!!

I really wanted to use to name Amalia for one of my girls, ended up naming them Astrid Vivienne and Alisha Willow

My daughter’s name is Daphne Juliette. Daphne was a compromise because my husband’s name is David and my name is Stephanie. We were having trouble agreeing on names, so we just put ours together! Other names I like are Sabrina, Rhiannon, and Guinevere.

Why only mamas? I assure you dads are equally good at choosing names for children, girl or boy or any other gender.

I would recommend waiting for her to be born and pick a name then as you’ll know what feels right. You have 42 days (I think) to register the birth so no pressure to just pick any name. My daughter was born 5 days ago but we had a name already in mind

Demetria Dawn, my last child was to be a girl but we got surprised and I never got to use this name. Always loved it, was my grandfather who chose the name but he passed before I had my son. I would feel honored if this is the name you choose

I still like the name I was going to call my son if he was a girl 47 years ago. Amber Rose. It’s still not too common and not outrageous like some of the ridiculous names being given recently.

Hubby and I love long names you can shorten. Blessed with 2 boys our girl names of Evelyn-Evie and Lillian-Lily are never going to be used

I’m due in 6 weeks. Her name is Joey Matilda x

My daughters name is yasmine .it was very unusual 25 years ago.

I worked in a pediatrics office in North Carolina where parents were a little too exotic with names causing these children a lifetime of constantly telling people how to pronounce them. Don’t do it. La-A (La dash a) , Camele (Cahmihl) you get the point.

I have a Haiven (just a different spelling of Haven) Willow.

Knowing the last name it will go with might help.
I named my daughter Isabel Patricia Monroe. We called her Izzy and Patricia was my dead mothers name. When Izzy turned 25 they realized they are Asexual. They changed their name to Rem Isaac :flushed::roll_eyes:
Moral of the story. They may change their name when they become an adult. Best of luck.

I think it’s very sweet that you’re seeking other mothers advice on a topic that brings forth a lot of lovely memories of why we named our children what we named them. My 2cents: You can’t go wrong with the names “Margaret Anne.” It’s distinctive, has a flow and will never go out of style. That’s why I named my daughter those names. Good luck with your journey into motherhood & please let us know what name you decided on.

Wow so many names. Better wait when she will be born! Middle names were easy and chosen first. We chose 1 influential women from each side and they were the middle names. First names took longer.
So I have a Thea Wendy Joanne and a Lyra Jamie May.

Our daughter is Mia Annie Veronica. We did love the name Dixie but talked about what her nickname at school might end up being and decided against it. Annie is my grandmother’s name and Veronica is my mother in law’s middle name.

I wanted to name my daughter after my 4 sisters cause I love them so much, I do but I really wanted to always have a babysitter,La’Dona Lynn Teri shanea (Donna.Lynn,Terri,Rene’ ended up with Marshalea Arrianne

I’ve always loved the name Mercy Grace. Names are very important and have meaning. It gives a child something to either live up to or live down to. Mercy Grace gives her the ability to be open and accepting of Gods Mercy and Grace.

We are having another boy so we don’t have a name yet but if I was having a girl it was going to be Mia Jade

I personally like names that are locations or characters. My daughter is Kara (Super girl’s name)- Florence (Italian city). You could have Sofia/Sophia, Madison, Cheyenne, Susah… you could choose a name from a country that means a lot to you from holidays or family or just interest.
I also personally like names that end an -a; Olivia, Sophia, Lara, Kara, Lucia, Francesca, Maya, Mia…
Also for me, Florence is my husband’s Nan’s name so not only did we like it as a location name but also as a namesake. It can be tough coming up with a name in general and I’ve known people to change their minds once baby is born (I personally didn’t) so put some names together, see if they sound nice when put together and I had to think about initials as my daughters first and surname are K&K so definitely couldn’t have a K middle name :see_no_evil:

If my twins were girls they were going to be called matilda June and Isabella rose

My daughter’s name is after both her grandmother’s, then my middle name then my dad was Louis so also put Louise after him

My daughter’s name is Harlow. We love it !
