Baby name ideas?

we have found out that i will not be making it to 40 weeks. I’ll be 35 weeks Tuesday. I thought I had 6 weeks to decide on this little girls name. Oakley or kyla for first names and grace or lyn for middle. my hubby and I are torn. we have 2 girls already both start with k. stick with k or switch it up… thanks for your help. 3-4 weeks and baby will be here

I love Oakley! I’ve only met one little girl with this name and I’m 30 so it’s a pretty uncommon name I think.

We had two boys with K names and then were pregnant with a girl, we had the same debate about sticking to a K name but after talking to our boys they felt very strongly that it wouldn’t be fair if she didn’t match them. So we ended up with three K names

Totally not meaning this in a mean way but I can’t stand when people just assume they’re gonna make it to 40 weeks. Premature births need to be talked about way more than they are. I went in for a Friday appointment, everything was fine but my baby was measuring small so they scheduled me to see a specialist that Monday. I go in feeling completely normal and get told my blood pressure is 180 over 130 and I’m having preeclampsia. Totally had no idea. However, by then I was prepared. Premature births can happen to anyone no matter how healthy you are.

If you already have 2 that start with K then I would stick with it because you don’t want this little feeling like the odd ball out. Both of my sisters have names that start with a V and mine starts with a T and growing up I always felt like the odd ball.

Oakley Grace is unique and beautiful! A name is so subjective and personal though so it’s ultimately up to you. Write them down and be truthful with yourselves which one you’d rather see for the rest of your lives. I think Kyla is a little more mainstream
