Hey wondering what the group recommends. I’ve been exclusively pumping for the past 9 months for my son since birth. Its been the worst part of having my son and i cant continue. I live him and pushed past 6 months hoping for a year but its so depressing. I was wondering what formula you’d recommend for a baby that’s been exclusively on breast milk. He has a doctors appointment coming up on Monday so ill ask his doctor too obviously

Enfamil has a neuro smart I think it’s called… Closest think to breastmilk
Honestly it all depends on your child, each kid is different and can handle certain things better compared to other kids. You might have to go through a trail and error phase. My daughter had to use Meijer brand soy, it was the ONLY thing that worked for her. My son uses Enfamil Gentlease and that seems to be perfect for him.
Look and see if any Breast milk clinics are in your area (just a thought)

I exclusively pumped with my first I regret so much stopping earlier then I originally wanted to so I recommend keeping it up I know it’s a a pain cuz that’s why I stopped early but I regret it because breast milk is better for baby plus formula is sooo expensive. However if you really choose not to I put all my babies on Enfamil Gentlese because it’s easy on tummy especially sense your going straight from breast milk to formula.

You can switch to whole milk at 10 months!! I would reccomend trying for the last month
Yellow basic infant enfamil or gentle ease I’ve heard are both great. You are doing a great job mama!

My son was on Good Start, and he did extremely well on it.
Similac has a formula for breastfeed babies. I would recommend which ever formula you choose to do the switch slowly. First day or 2 do 2 ozs formula 6 oz breast milk, next day half and half, ect. And don’t stop pumping at at once either! It will hurt so bad!! Instead of pumping every 4 hrs do every 5 or 6 hrs until your only doing like once a day. You don’t wanna get engorged! Good Luck. And you do what is good for you and your baby!! Don’t listen to any one else!

We used Similac when I slowed down in production and mixed formula with breastmilk, but more importantly…

Pumping is hard freaking work. And especially if you’re exclusively pumping! I think you’ve done great making it 9 months and love hearing about your love and dedication to that baby of yours!
