Agnes, Edith, Angharad (it’s actually an ‘ancient’ welsh name, it’s not my favorite though pronounced “Ang(as in hang without the H)-ha-rad (with a subtle roll on the R:sweat_smile:) Judith, Maureen, Bridgitte, Ingrid, Claudette, Vivienne, Dorothy, Marylin, Rita, Moira, Wilma, Norma, Dolores, Shirley, Rosalind, Audrey, Miriam, Ionecene ( pronounced “eye-on-eh-keen… I’m not sure how old this name is or how popular it ever was but it was my great grandmothers name and apparently she was named after a ship?), Fay/Faye, Charlotte, Emily, Sandra, Myfanwy (pronounced “Miv-ann-wee,”) Marion, Clara, Gloria, Francess, Violet… I honestly have hundreds, I could be here all day I’ll stop now as I’ve listed more than one or two hopefully you find the name you love amongst the millions that are out there soon.

My mother was born in 1940. Her name was Bronzie. Never met another or heard that name ever and not to this day and I’m 64. My grandpa said he named her from a radio character named from the Pepper Family show. There was a daughter Bronzie Lee Pepper. My mom became Bronzie Lee Keen. She passed two years ago tomorrow. Before our population became more diverse, first names were known as Christian names and were bestowed on the baby at baptism. Unsurprisingly, saints’ names were very popular Peter, Matthew, Luke etc. and Anne, Mary, Joan etc. Also “virtue” names were often given to girls such as Faith, Hope & Charity.
