I have a toddler still nursing and I am six weeks pregnant - my toddler is trying to nurse constantly !!! Does milk change does she sense the change ?? And it doesn’t help I’m an emotional mess mama over here
yes it does causing most but not all toddlers to self wean.
You really should talk to your OB GYN and Pediatrician about this.
Yes it does, mine dried up after I got pregnant.
Yes it does, mine dried up after I got pregnant.
Barbara Ortiz what pedestrian? There are many.
I didn’t dry up when I got pregnant while breastfeeding, all I can advise is eat more calories then u normally do so u can feed the baby inside n still breastfeed
Yes, I got pregnant when 3 if my babies were 6 months old. Each time they stopped nursing, they just didn’t like the taste. They’d try but spit it out. But you should really speak with your drs.
You definitely need to talk to your doctor because they know your body and what the best decision for you is. Doctors usually recommend you stop breastfeeding due to it causing preterm labor. Some women have continued to BF anyways. I guess it’s up to you if you want to risk it.
I heard it’s bad to breastfeed while pregnant
Something about causing contractions but I know so many who do so I have no clue how true it is even if it was a doctor who told me
I have exclusively breastfed twice while pregnant it can be done despite people saying its impossible
The milk changes & some babies self wean but It’s perfectly safe to breastfeed through pregnancy as long as you aren’t high risk for preterm labor. I’ve nursed through 2 pregnancies my last one I was tandem nursing. If you are concerned at all talk to your doctor but generally unless your high risk it’s safe to continue.
Coming from a clc… unless you’re high risk for pre term… it’s ok. A lot of women have supply trouble because of pregnancy hormones. A lot of toddlers self wean . Milk changes most right before delivery… some moms tandem feed both toddler and infant at the same time though and do just fine. Do what you feel is right for your family momma.
Barbara Ortiz tandem nursing is completely safe
I breast fed for 18 mn I was about 5mn pregnant when she started to show deference
I let her wean herself she’s now 26mn and still trys about once a week but only last a few seconds and she is good
I never deny her in fear it will make her recent baby
Totally shouldn’t be breastfeed
Get the baby a sippy cup!
That’s only true in certain situations like high risk pregnancies. You can breastfeed while pregnant!
Ya but y nurse a toddler wile pregnant , my wic lady told my sister to start winging at 11-12m it’s not good to let them suck after a year , amd if she continues to feed her when new baby is here they will be fighting over the boob lol I just for see someone feeding after a year but that’s just what Iv read , amd hurd with my sister doc and stuff , but id always read not to continue feeding after a sertion age bc teeth also it’s uncomfortable feeding a toddler were they are oldnemof for a cup , but she really should see a doc and not take our advice lol bc we arnt doctors lol it would just seem kinda strange to feed a child that can walk of the boob lol and they need regular milk at 1 , and may not be safe if her toddler is laying on her and stuff could cause complications with the baby in the belly , idk I think she should take the toddler off the breast and give it a cup ! But that’s my opinion kids older then 1 is just a little to big for the boob i think
Hailey Wyndhamsmith I just thought u couldn’t breast feed after 1year , bc they take regular milk or a cuppie , I don’t see how a toddler could nurse ?
Completely safe to breastfeed while pregnant. Tandem nursing is a thing. Your breasts can cater to your children one breast can make infant milk the other toddler milk. I nursed my kids till 3 and currently nursing my 1 yr old daughter. Just cause someone thinks it’s weird doesn’t mean it is. do what’s right for your family
human milk is for human babies
Idk I was just asking and wondering how or y lol I mean wouldn’t u think 4 is to old I can see mabe 1 or 1 n half but not 3_4 , idk I guess if u feel confurdibjl enoff to let a 4 year old nurse be my guest I’m not judgeing I’m just saying I thought they needed milk at that age ,civ never seen someone nurse at 4 years old that’s y i was curious , it’s not that I’m agent it at all , I was most just curious lol , bc everyone I see that breastfeed dontbfeed after 1 or they wing at 1 n half , I don’t see it as feeding a infant breast milk I see a child that walks n talks old enoff for a cup on a boob , mabe it’s bc jv never done it nor seen it is y i was shocked and curious lol if I was to breastfeed I would stop at 1 but that’s my opinion or u know atleast 2 but not all the way to 4 if they can eat finger foods and talk and ealm they shouldnt be sucking off there mother , if just different but I guess ppl have there own ways and there’s nothing against it I dknt guess
as long as there haply and there child that’s all that matters , I just think children at 4 should be on real foods and a cuppie but that’s my opinion expucully if ur haveing a nother child I wouldn’t let my 4 year old nurse wile I’m pregnant lol that’s just not something i would do or could handle , I just think there should be a limit on when to wing them and start them on milk or a cuppie or something but hey I’m a first time Mom so I don’t know as much as most of other parents I’m just starting my opinion , I just think it’s not nature to feed a walking talking child on a boob when it can drink a cup expucully at 4_5 but I see it ok till atleast almost 2 , but all moms are different
but she deff need to see a doc instead of taking our advice
I was meaning that if they are walking and talking and eating finger foods and stuff they may not need to drink from the breast , idk I didn’t feed my lo from the boob till she was 4 , so idk how it works or w.e I was mosty just curious and wondering how things like that work , bc Iv never seen a 4 year old nurse in my point of view so mabe I look at it different them other ppl , I don’t have no issue or anything with it , I just would like to learn and understand more about it , I just thought mabe after they start walking amd stuff it may be hard to breastfeed or like my daughters after she eat real food she didn’t even won’t her milk as much anymore lol , but all kids are diff , I just didn’t understand y someone would breast feed a 4year old , and like if there in daycare or headstart or something how would they go if they was still on breast milk ? Like I said im a first time Mom so I was just mostly just trying to understand i should have prob asked or worded my comments differently , I don’t wont to offend anyone or anything , I just wonted to know how or y do ppl breast feed a child that walks talks has teeth and if they drink regular milk or do they drink breast milk from a cup or do they actually feed off the breast , Iv only seen a child that old eat n drink from a cup or whatever , Iv never seen a women breastfeed a 4year old is y i was curious,
Oh my jesus. Yes take advice from a WIC employee not a pediatrician or doctor. Formula is to be weaned by 11-12mo, breast milk is fine until either the mother or the child decides it’s time to give it up. Maybe take a writing class, or brush up on your spelling and grammar before you try to tell someone what’s right and wrong.
I completely understand were u guys come from n don’t see a issue with breastfeeding at all I just dont understand it as much as y’all do , I just feel different Bout it n don’t look at it as y’all do ,but it was nice to learn , I wish I could have continued to breast feed my little girl but I suposibuly didn’t have any nipples and the pump didnt work i wouldn’t neber get enoff for my daughter I did try very hard and did give her what I could after j had her but hopefully if I have another I can breast feed the next , and my daughter couldn’t stand the taste of breast milk she would spit it out or uo all the time when I did give it to her , but eather way if it’s real milk from a breast or a milk from a cow or formula it all is just the same as long as the baby is feed and healthy that’s all that matters , some ppl can’t breast feed so we can’t give human milk to human baby lol if I could I would have but I just wasn’t blessed with the nipples lol but this girl needs to speck to a professional and let them tell her what’s best the doc nows her body better then we do I wish her luck and hope everything works out ,
Lol how is taking advice from pedestrians better than facebook?
Phoeniquera Detussueños pedestrians? Oh…typo! I will fix that. Smh… Why is it that you couldn’t figure out what I meant, as everyone else did?
