Yeah you absolutely can. Its based on feeling not looking.
A comment from a man? A friend had an epidural with her 3rd child, and has suffered pain in the injection site, like arthritis the past 17 years.
You can but I would def recommend you don’t get it you will regret it afterwards my mom suffers from severe back pain because of it I decided to go all natural with all 3 of my children and all where 12 hr labors you will survive !! Lol
Up to you they put on it wrong in my friends back nearly paralyzed her so I had all 3 of my babies natural gas an air that stuff is so great I would rather be high for abit then have back problems after aswell as a sore vag
I have a back ratio and Still had it done!
i had one 26 years ago and wish i never had it,always back pain
Had an epidural 12 yrs ago no issues here no full back tat. Somepeople have issues some dont …do.what feels vomfortable for you…i dont think ull have issues with a full back tat
As a heavily tattooed mom…YES you can have an epidural or spinal block. My back is covered fully and have had 1 spinal block and 4 epidurals. It has nothing to do with skin. Good luck!!
The anesthesiologist is “feeling” for the spaces between your vertebrae. “Seeing” isnt necessary. As far as the ink getting pushed into your spine- think about if it can be pushed out of your skin? Once its healed, its in the skin. It doesnt come loose because theres a needle puncture. No worries mama…stop googling and start talking to your providers. If your midwife/ob is unsure, please dont hesitate to call the hospital you are delivering at and ask an anesthesiologist. Simply ask them to page the one thats on call. If you cant get answers there, try the administrator on call of the hospital. They are responsible for overseeing all patient concerns in the hospital and you count as a patient! Best of luck to you. (P.s. dont feel bad, the administrator of my hospital knew who i was long before my first child arrived. I spoke with them at least 5 times during my pregnancy w my long long list of questions and concerns)
Honestly if you haven’t had a child yet, I have had 2 without a epidural, just the IV drugs, and it went well and helped a lot with my pain. So if they tell you that your unable to because of the tattoo the IV drugs work just as good.
Depends on the doctor and hospital policy. So discuss with your doctor
Epidurals are overrated. Be prepared with your Lamaze breathing just in case epidural doesn’t work.
Ask your Dr. they’ll give you the right answer. Sometimes it depends on the length your tattoos been in place , heal time and such .
Lol I have back tattoos and I have had epidurals
I think it depends on how old the tattoo is
Check with your doctor, not google or Facebook “doctors”
