Can you get pregnant before your fertile days?

Any time you are having sex there is a chance of getting pregnant, no matter the time of month. Semen can also live in the vagina for up to a week, so you can still conceive after initially having sex.

Well the app doesn’t know if your system went off track that month. Which is why people tell people, you can get pregnant at any time, don’t go by your cycle. Because your cycle is not always exact, and outside influences as well as things like diet, age etc. can influence your cycle each month.

FLO IS A LIAR! Lol! She said I wouldn’t be ovulating for at least another week and we only had unprotected sex that one time. I was showing positive within 2 weeks lol

I’ve not used it but unless your trying to get pregnant then temping and using OPKs is the way to go. Your temp doesn’t spike until after you ovulate and like people said if you don’t want to get pregnant use bc. Because you never know. Good luck with whichever outcome you want.

do a test to see if your pregnant. and if your not you need some type of protection. Do not believe your man when he says he will pull out.

You can definitely get pregnant at any time, the chances are just higher closer to ovulation. The more info you put in the app daily, period flow, temp, cervical mucus, etc the more accurate it will be. If you’re just going off the base predictions that’s just a guide.

Sperm can live up to 5/6 days so if you know the app is correct with your fertile days then there is a slight chance you will ovulate on the predicted and there will still be surviving sperm and you can become pregnant.

I know tons of people who tracked their ovulation to avoid getting pregnant and unfortunately that doesn’t always work. You can still get pregnant outside of that window.

You should be ok. But- sperm can survive 3days. A solid week of abstinence surrounding ur fertile day is best if u don’t want to get pregnant.

You can get pregnant at any point in your cycle it just depends on what day you ovulate. Sperm can survive around 5 days. The apps are just guesses so unless you know based on another tracking method your ovulation day it’s hard to tell. I ovulate 5-6 days before my period starts for example. Some ovulate very soon after their period and some in the middle of their cycle.

Why take the chance if you don’t want a baby!

Look there’s always a chance, depending how long sperm linger which can be 5 days. There’s always a chance, but slimmer.

Sperm can survive up to 5 days… Your calendar is not 100% accurate detecting ovulation

Sperm can live up to a week so…

You can get pregnant at anytime

I got pregnant on my period :woman_shrugging:t4:
Also had my periods for 3-4 months for both pregnancies. I don’t think there’s an actual answer to this.

Yes hun we don’t always ovulate the same time every month checking temps monthly can help track it the sperm lives for 5 days too so if your egg drops you can get pregnant x

Maybe you should have educated yourself before you had unprotected sex

Always a good idea to use protection if you don’t want to get pregnant. Better safe than sorry……

Flo gives you a very educated guess. Just because it says it is during that window, does not mean it is accurate. Every woman is different. I used Flo along with ovulation tests and my ovulation date was 2 days later (or more) from what they predicted it to be.

If you’re looking at low, medium, & high your chances of getting pregnant are medium right now.

Well sperm stays alive for 3-5 days inside the vagina so it’s possible from what I was told by my doctor

You can’t get pregnant until 5 days before ovulation, the day of and one day after. So you can use ovulation sticks to make sure

Sperm can survive in a woman’s body for at least five days.

Depending on the pH of your vagina depends on how long sperm can live, longer than you think. Sometimes bodies do wonky things like ovulate early.

You can get pregnant before or after your window. I used flo before I got pregnant with my daughter and she was a week after the day I was supposed to ovulate. There is really no safe day unless you or your partner is sterile. My doctor told my flat out that these apps can help track but not 100% percent. My period was never off or late once.

The chance of you getting pregnant before you ovulate are slim. Sperm can live in your body for up to 5 days so if your tracker is a day or 2 out it is possible

13 days after your period is your high fertility window. I have the Premom app that has helped me a lot with calculating

Apps aren’t always accurate. It’s possible.

Why have unprotected sex?

Why are you asking complete strangers? Go see your freaking doctor!!! Geez!!

If you’re looking for an “educated answer” your best bet would wait until the day your expected period to take a pregnancy test and a blood test with a doctor. That simple.

Ok my dr explained to me u can only get pregnant 12 times a year , ok you count 14 days from your 1st day you start your cicle, on the 14th day you start having sex for 2 3 days then you see if not worked try next month it will work i told a lot of family n friends having troubles falling and worked, for me worked 2nd month good luck😁

Sperm can survive 5-7 days inside you. And the tracker apps are just estimates because each women is different. Unless you actually track your LH you wont know if the tracker you have is accurate for you.

Sperm can live in your body for that long so yeah you could get pregnant

You can get pregnant at any point in your cycle. It’s not like an on/off switch.

Male sperm are the fast swimmers but die off quickly (about 24 hours.) Female sperm are slower but live longer, about 5 days. If you’re within 5 days of your ovulation day, you can conceive. So in other words, if you have unprotected sex a week prior to your ovulation day, and you miscounted or ovulated early, you could be within the conception window.

Id say unlikely that soon, and as long as you clean it out and shower, your chances are pretty low, but there is always a chance.

I got pregnant both time a week before my window we didn’t know it was possible until I talked to the doctor

I have been pregnant twice and for both I conceived the day after my period was done. I miscarried one and had a healthy baby for the next.

The period tracker is for most women. I was definitely not one of them LOL

The apps are just general guesses based off your cycle. Unless youre tracking your ovulation you don’t really know when you ovulate. So you could be ovulating now, or you could two weeks from now. Without knowing that it’s hard to say what your chances of pregnancy are.

I believe fresh sperm can live up to 5 days… you should take an ovulation test to see when you ovulate. Could be anyday between day 13-15.

If you’re pregnant then you were fertile.
Apps aren’t always accurate, they are just a guideline.
Ultrasounds are the ONLY accurate way to know if you’re fertile.
Urine (ovulation) sticks are pretty accurate, but again…not 100%

Sperm can live 5-7 days, so if your fertile window is in around 6 days time from now and you’ve recently had unprotected sex then depending on wether you ovulate early or dead on 6 days from now there is a chance you could release an egg with that sperm still present. So yes, there is a possibility.

I use ovulation tests. I was showing I was ovulating 2 days after my period.

You’re not going to get the answer you want here. The fertile window is letting you know what days you may ovulate. Your body is only fertile certain times a month. Period. The most regular woman in the world, can still have off cycles, but anatomy doesn’t change. Following an app, is giving you estimates. Follow this cycle closely and you’ll be able to look back and know your most fertile days. It’s also important to know that sperm can live up to five days, so it’s possible to get pregnant if you had sex several days before a fertile window. Just depends on when you ovulate.

Sperm can live up to 5-7 days and apps like Flo (I used it too) is usually just an approximate of when you’ll ovulate which is why they give a wide window. So yes, you definitely could be pregnant. The only way to know is to take a test when you miss your period.

For my first, I got pregnant in the fertile window and got
my big fat positive on the day of my missed period. With my second, it was outside of the fertile window and I know this because we had sex after my “fertile window” according to flo but then I actually ovulated two weeks later and bam, my second son is due in 2 weeks.

You can definitely conceive but it is unlikely. Get some ovulation tests and see if they are positive over the next 5-7 days. If not it’s very unlikely that sex prior to today would lead to conception. Sperm can live for up to 10 days in the reproductive track. So if you are going to continue having sex and don’t want to get pregnant now would be the time to start using prevention. If your cycle is regular, you ovulate about 12-14 days prior to the start of your period so typically sex 21 days before would not lease to a pregnancy. Your chances are very slim right now. If your cycle is irregular (meaning a difference every month of more than 5 days) it’s really not possible to know when you would typically ovulate, but that would still occur 12-14 days before you start to bleed.

I was using Flo when I got pregnant and we weren’t even trying! But there’s a little window after your period most women forget about… I know I did  because that’s when I got pregnant lol. So be careful, the body is tricky.

You won’t get an answer that you’re looking for. I had a period, followed by a small period a few days later. Which turned out that I was pregnant. Every woman is different, for instance, I haven’t had a period since then that wasn’t induced by provera.

Idk if this so a little tmi but I usually have a egg white discharge and that is said to be when u are are ovulating…

Why have unprotected sex??? Unless this is a long term relationship and you know there’s no risk of STD!!! But if you don’t want to get pregnant….use protection!

Apps are just a guess… you could ovulate before or after the app predicts you’re window. It’s never 100%
So my advice is either use condoms if you don’t want a baby or start to use ovulation tests to see when you are ovulating :slightly_smiling_face:

The only thing I can say is anytime you have sex with or without protection (because protection isn’t 100%) you take a chance of getting pregnant because the apps aren’t 100% and sperm can live in the female reproductive system for 5-7 days.

Sperm lasts for a few days in the vagina/womb after sex so it is possible. You can even get pregnant on your period. The odds are lower in both situations given you’re probably not yet fertile but it’s still plausible.

If you have unprotected sex, there is ALWAYS a chance that you can get pregnant… You’re not really supposed to be able to get pregnant, while on your actual period either, there is only a very SMALL chance… And I got pregnant with my youngest while on my period. It component stopped my period🤷 there is ALWAYS that chance of getting pregnant, then you have sex. Unprotected or protected. Birth control or no birth control. (My oldest, we used protection, AND I was on the freaking pill 🤦I seemed to have real good luck in that department lol)

Sperm can live in your body for up to a week if your fertle day is 6 days away theres a good chance the egg and sperm could meet

I got pregnant using Flo and it was outside the “chance to get pregnant” days

Well sperm can live in the vagina up to 7 days… so yes you could get pregnant.

You say you’re looking for an educated answer and a simple yes or no won’t do (lol) but what you mean is you’re looking for an educated answer solely on your own body and strangers can’t answer that for you. Every woman has a different unique cycle and days of ovulation. If you’re concerned buy a pregnancy test and you’ll have the answer you’re looking for

Apps are just a guideline.

Chances are if you were fertile you would have that type of discharge. Google types of cervical discharge and how to know when youre fertile.

I’ve read 7 days before and after your period is time window to get pregnant.

You can get pregnant on the pill even. Use a condom

There’s probably going to be a lot of mixed answers in here as all of our cycles and bodies are different. I personally used period tracking to prevent pregnancy for 5 years after my first. Then I got irresponsible and stopped paying attention and now I have a second child. I’ve been tracking again, my cycle is regular again and so far so good.

very possible im currently pregnant  sperm can live inside quite a few days

Best bet, stop tracking days and ovulation. Relax and it will happen naturally!

You can get pregnant at any time. However your ovulation time is just the best time where you’re most likely to conceive. You do have a slight chance the days leading up to and after ovulation day. Like I said, ovulation day is just the highest chance of conceiving.

It would depend on when you ovulate but you can get plan b at Costco for like $10 and on Amazon for like $12 for future reference.

U can get pregnant at any time

Yes you can get pregnant

Ovulation apps aren’t perfect, they are just an estimate. Every woman is different, only way to know you exact Ovulation time is to buy an Ovulation test. Sperms lives from 5-7 days inside of a woman. In rare cases they’ve even lasted up to 10 days, so no time is really a safe time for unprotected sex if you don’t want to get pregnant. There is always a good chance you’ll catch. And if you aren’t in a relationship you should generally use condoms to prevent the catching of anything else too

Any unprotected sex can result in pregnancy

Yes, you can. Sometimes you can ovulate earlier or later than normal. Sperm can live inside you for 6 days. It is possible!

This is a question for a fertility specialist who knows you, and your cycle and also knows the and the sperm count and sperm motility of your partner. Your cycle has a lot to do with it but so doesn’t his sperm. You can’t get an accurate answer on Facebook from strangers. Nobody here can say definitively that you have a 28% chance of being pregnant, or not. There is too much to account for with this.

Yes you can get pregnant anytime

Depends on your body. I’d say you wouldn’t have asked unless you think you may be. It takes like 72 hours for his sperm to refill. If your close I’d be more focused on whether his sac is cold or not. Hugs.

If you have unprotected sex at any point it is possible you can get pregnant…

If you have to ask this, you probably shouldn’t be getting pregnant :woman_facepalming:t2:

Yes, I used Flo. Kept me from getting pregnant all through 2020 when I couldn’t get my shot.

Sperm can be viable up to 5 days inside of you. The tracker can be inaccurate unless you have been consistently updating the app over a period of several months for it to be accurate to your cycle. Can always do an ovulation test. Or if you know the consistency of your own discharge and how it thickens closer to ovulation.

I got pregnant with my last baby 7 days before ovulation. So yeah it’s definitely possible

Definitely possible to get pregnant. Our bodies are MADE for it. Ovulation just increases the chances a lot more than if you weren’t. I used the flo tracker years ago, when I was first active and got pregnant literally the first time I had sex.

Why don’t you just chance it and see what happens!!!

Wow the judgmental comments are really uncalled for!
That being said; some people can tell when they ovulate, like me, I get slight cramping. I also use the Flow app and it’s dead on for me. Your fertile widow is basically a week each month. Because, as already stated, sperm can survive a few days after ejaculation. After your egg is released it is viable for 24 hours so that’s why you see a chance of getting pregnant before and after the day of ovulation. The highest chance of pregnancy is if the sperm and egg meet 4-6 hours after ovulation. BUT many women do not know exactly when they ovulate.

Well sperm lives up to 7 days I’m pretty sure, so it is possible to because pregnant if you only have 6 days till your fertile. :woman_shrugging: I’d wait and test in a week or so and to see if you get your monthly flow.

You can get pregnant at any time of the month!!! I got pregnant on my period with my 3rd child!! Didn’t think that was possible lol it happens and perm can live that long inside you!
