Can you get your hair dyed while pregnant?

I am 6 months pregnant and wanting to get my hair dyed…but I am getting mixed reviews on if its okay to do it while pregnant…thoughts?

I did it but I did it in a well ventilated room and I cleared it with my OB first just to be safe, my OB told me as long as I didn’t have to bleach my hair I was okay, I also used the Garnier box dye cuz it had the essential oil stuff that you put into it to make it not smell so bad…this was also 5 years ago so idk if the studies on it have changed

I’m currently 36 weeks and just dyed my hair with Garnier box dye. As long as you are in a well ventilated area!

Yes you can, well ventilated area, Hoe ever advise against bleach. My ob said I could bleach it if someone with experience was doing. Your skin may react differently to the color/bleach.

They dont recommend in the first trimester or second but was told third trimester is fine. Make sure your in well ventilated area and mask for fumes. My daughter just had baby and thats what they told her.

I’m a hairdresser and carried on doing my job whilst pregnant both times and also coloured my hair with bleach and no bleach

I went into labor while dying my hair purple, my entire face and neck were stained purple from sweating.
Just keep the room well ventilated.
