Did anyone else’s child go through a rough patch acting out constantly before kindergarten? He’s always been the sweetest but but lately he’s been really acting out, he did recently start seeing his dad and staying with him a few days out of the week but this kinda started before then so I’m not sure what’s going on. He just turned 5 in April

My twins acted out really bad during kindergarten to the point where there were behaviors reported by the school that weren’t typical for them to been known to do in general. I’ve read that this age is a big age in emotional development for children. Try to talk to him the best you can and see what is going on with him. Set limits and tell him what is expected and not expected. Also give appropriate responses to him when he acts out like this. I know it’s hard but try to remember they are little people with big emotions and even us adults can tend to struggle with emotions and the way we express them sometimes. Good luck and God bless.
Yes! Both of my sons had a rough spell around ages 4-5. It nearly sent me off my rocker, but I have learned now it is a stage and we just have to love them through it. You got this!
