I use reigns on my little boy that way he can walk and explore but can’t wonder off xx
Ive let her push the cart from the age of 2, i kept a hand on it to ensure my wild child never drove into anyone.
When my daughter was that young if she would listen I would let her walk, but if not she lost that privilege.
I tried one time and he kept putting stuff in my cart like Mickey Mouse stuff that he found at his eye level. Spent $119 at the store and we went in for milk. So, no I don’t let my toddler walk when we are in stores lmao.
I’ve had 2 kids that were good and could walk places but my last child that’s a no go he’s a crotch goblin.
My son just turned 2 last month. He still rides in the cart when we go to the store. He is a good boy but he is into everything. And he would try to “help” me by putting random things I don’t need into the cart
It depends on him, and his behavior +my patience level that day. I usually let him walk unless/until he wants to run off, or start misbehaving. Then i strap him in the cart
I do not give birth to children that cooperate or follow directions, so…
My 2 year old is in the buggy but if she gets Ansie and wants out I let her walk and yes she gets curious but I just stay on her and I get stares and people saying stuff because I let her walk but idc she just wants to be like us
My Daughter Holds My Hand And We Walk. Been Doing It Since She Was 2. She’s 3 Now And Still Very Well Behaved Outside The Home!
I think a dog leash works well😀
My daignter did for sure.
Unless your child experiences things they will not know how to act and what is appropriate. Set rules, consequences etc before going in the store or wherever!
My little crotch goblin can not be let loose in public!! She runs everywhere🤦♀️
But as a compromise because I am 6 months prego currently, I use one of those backpack leashes.
Some people totally oppose them but in my instance it’s really a life saver☺️
My daughter loves hers and thinks it’s just a normal backpack. She knows when we go to Walmart she has to have it on.
I can control how close or how far I need her to be.
Practice makes perfect. Some days will be better then others but you won’t know until you try
I try not to have to take my kids into stores. But I’m super paranoid about someone taking them. I had a creepy experience when my oldest was younger and I just don’t trust people in stores and crowds. My husband also tells me I watch too many true crime shows. If I do take them in the store they are holding onto the cart and right next to me or I have another adult with me.
We still put him in a buggy. His dad my daughters x turned his back on him and he ran into the street Halloween night. We got lucky that time. We was watching and ran to him
I have a 4 year old I still put on the cart she has Austim so she is wild
I keep the crazy ones contained as long as possible
