Has anyone gives their toddler goat milk?

Has anyone given their toddlers goat milk? Long story short my 2.5 year old is a very picky eater, she’s also on the smaller side weight and height wise. She hates most dairy products so she drinks about 16 oz of ripple milk a day and loves it. I love that it gives her a lot of protein and most of the nutrients she needs. We are flying to the Dominican Republic in September to visit my husbands family. I strongly doubt they will have ripple milk so I’m not sure what she can have to replace it for those 10 days? We’ve tried regular milk numerous times and she hates it, im wondering if goat milk would be a good temporary alternative?

My toddler uses the Aussie Bubs goat milk toddler formula. She likes it. If your kiddo is only drinking 16 ounces a day one can would probably last you 10 days. My daughter still drinks quite a bit more than that and a can lasts her about a week.

my 2 year old has had it since his first birthday and loves it

I have a goat farm and all my kids including my 10mo absolutely loves it. It’s higher in protein compared to cow’s milk. And also not as sweet.
To be safe I’d see if I can get a liter and give it to her before you travel. That way u know she will drink it or not.

My mother grown up on goat milk

Yes. Any younger and I would say no because it’s an irritant, but it has more vitamins and easier to digest the older you get. You can also get goats milk formula, and even take it with you, but you may start a habit you don’t want to fund. Lol.

Check and see what’s available down there first.

Goats milk is fine. But honestly if you can I would talk to her doctor before you go. If she doesn’t like dairy, that’s not an issue health wise. He/she just might want to prescribe an extra vitamin. My son was lactose intolerant as a toddler and grew out of it, but until he did they had him eating more processed dairy because its not as bad on a lactose stomach. I was told if he couldn’t handle any of it just to come back for some supplements to make sure he gets all his calcium and vitamins. If your child hasn’t had goats milk before, they may not like it. A small amount of time won’t hurt for no dairy but it might bring peace of mind to have the extra supplements

Except it tastes horrible…

This is my dairy goat farm, and my NICU baby’s goat milk story!
