Has anyone had this happen?

Anyone else ever experience not finding a heart beat at 11 weeks ? my obgyn doesn’t do ultrasounds in the house but she did it anyway and still couldn’t find the heart beat after trying either doppler. She said because she saw the baby move she isn’t concerned. It has me super paranoid, my partner thinks I should go to the hospital because I can’t get a ultrasound done until march 6

I could never hear my youngest sons heartbeat, even up to the day I gave birth… he was always in some weird position that made it impossible… we might catch a few beats here and there but never a solid heartbeat.

I heard both my sons heart beats at like 5 1/2 weeks and 8 weeks. I would go to the emergency room because even if they can’t hear it they should be able to see it

I didn’t hear a heartbeat with my girls until they were 13 weeks. And even then you have to remember they are so small and can hide or move as they are looking.

Definitely go to the hospital

Id go to ER too for piece of mind

I agree. 11 weeks I feel like you should be able to hear it… internal anyways. Better to be safe

Just go to ER… I would wait to another week and keep stressing, you can also by the little mini dopler to hear the baby…

I would definately go to the hospital to double check just for your own peace of mind. I found out my baby’s heart stopped beating at a private ultrasound and I went to the ER to have it confirmed…which sadly it was.
Hoping for a positive outcome for you.
All the very best :green_heart:

Your only 11 weeks, the baby is moving, it may just be positioned awkward, don’t worry, that’s worse for you. But ask the doctor since the heartbeat couldn’t detected about the possibility of a breach birth.

Just don’t do anything if they recommend d and c even if you’re farther along and they still can’t find it… sometimes there’s anomalies where they can’t. Don’t stress it. Keep looking etc but let pregnancy continue. I’ve seen way too many stories from moms who they couldn’t find heartbeat and had D and C… meanwhile other moms they couldn’t find heartbeat for months and continued on anyways and had a perfectly healthy baby. Just wanted to throw that out there but I’m sure everything is fine its normal for it to be hard to find early plus you could be earlier than you think if ovulated late etc.

ER for piece of mind. I could hear all my babies at six week.

My dr always says as long as he can see/hear the heartbeat he’s not concerned. I would definitely get a second opinion
