Has anyone traveled while 29 weeks pregnant?

Has anyone traveled at 28/29 weeks pregnant? I have a trip in December where we will be on a plane for I believe max 4-5 hours. I really don’t want to cancel as it’ll be our first Christmas vacation.

I traveled for work when I was 34 weeks pregnant, several years ago. I got the ok from my OB before traveling.

I took a several flights, the longest stretch being nine hours at 30 weeks. Just get it okay’d with your doctor with a note saying that you don’t have a high risk pregnancy and they are comfortable. It was soo nice being able to get away one last time before having to stay put for a while. Best of luck, and congratulations!

Me! I traveled 10 hrs by car though! I think you’ll be okay😊 but always talk to your OB first

We went on our baby moon when I was about 33-34 weeks. Drove 4 1/2 hrs each way. I think you’re supposed to stop traveling at like 35 or 36 weeks unless they tell otherwise.

Mee i was 32 weeks however it wasn’t 4-5 hours it was more like 2 1/2 my ob said she didn’t recommend or was ok it but I still went :slightly_smiling_face: I took a Doppler with me

If you around 34 weeks airlines frown on that. You will need a Doctor note two days before flying saying your ok to fly. Problem with flying when your pregnant is if you sit several hours your at risk to develop blood clots in your legs which could go into your system and give you an embolism in your lungs. Which could be fatal. Best to ask your doctor for advice.

I did for a wedding. My feet got so swollen on plan that I didn’t fit any of my shoes I took…that was only issue I had…but this was my last pregnancy and I was my heaviest ever

Talk to your Dr first momma, not Facebook. We’re all going to give you different opinions lol. Best of luck❤️

Talk to.your docter who will tell u if you can or can’t fly and if you can you’ll be given a note for airline x

Most recommend not traveling after 35 weeks

I drove 6 hours with two toddlers at 28 weeks. My legs were sore towards the end but other than that, it was a great experience!

I rode a train for 2 hours, got on a plane in Germany and flew to Missouri (about 12 hours total) and finally rode in a car three hours to get home when I was 34 weeks pregnant. My feet were swollen, but otherwise pretty uneventful.

Travelled bi weekly in a plane up until I was 34 weeks.

I went on Eurostar at about then. It was tiring and I tried to raise my feet as much as possible. They don’t like you travelling due to blood clot risks and also preterm labour.

talk to your OB, most do not recommend travel , especially for that long of a period
