Is putting a diaper on after a bath the same as changing a diaper?

Definitely not the same

This is not a debate😂
This is most likely petty

It’s a baby. Make sure they’re clean and taken care of. Doesn’t matter who does it, as long as it’s done❤️

The only part that’s the same is the diaper is on at the end :joy:

What… absolutely not lol

I mean technically you took their old one off before bath and out a new one on so kinda especially if it was dirty lol . weird debate though

No it’s not the same

Kind of yes as you’re exchanging old for new but rather than an I’m immediate change, there’s a bath between. I hope you’re not arguing with someone that you’d reuse the previous one??!!

Not the same sorry not sorry

I would say no because you don’t have to clean your child before you put it on them after the bath

I mean technically but no.

Are you putting it on yourself, or is someone putting yours on for you? Lol

doesn’t sound like this topic needs to be a debate.

Weirdest debate ive heard but no its not

Your changing it but that’s just part of the bath routine

Its the same as far as putting a diaper on, but no baby wipes but they need to be dried. Close enough :woman_shrugging:

Some people would be really grateful to have a partner to even have this debate with. Sometimes when I find myself irritable over small things, I find that it’s me that is the problem and I need to practice some grounding techniques or a self time out.

I would say no because they don’t gotta deal with the clean-up lol.

Ummm…. Why? :joy: yes. You take it off, wash some buns and put it back on. Should count

Lol what? What’s the context? This doesn’t even make sense.

Why’s this even a question. Maybe just for fun? I’d say no because you’re not using wipes since the baby is already cleaned and you’re not changing a dirty diaper, you’re simply putting one on.

The fact that someone would argue over that is so funny lol

I don’t know. Is putting underwear on after a shower the same as changing your underwear?
Seems a silly question

no lmao you ain’t getting all up in there like when you actually change it

Well as long as you aren’t putting the same diaper back on, technically you are changing a diaper.

No… Your just covering a clean butt… I mean yea you put the diaper on but you skip the whole unsnapping everything taking diaper off, cleaning baby, putting diaper on , snapping everything back …

Lmfao I love petty ass debates. Hell no it’s not. You’re not cleaning baby shit or piss. You’re simply slapping a diaper on a clean baby booty … tell him to do more :joy:

If this is what an “argument” is about, your relationship is doomed lol

I mean, going from a dirty diaper, to a clean one……

For those that are saying no, what do you mean? I’m genuinely confused

This is something my Fiancée and I would debate for total fun!! Which I’m hoping is the situation here. No it is not a diaper change it’s part of getting dressed.

Hahahaha ummm whaat? Lmao.

The diaper is getting changed. Who cares! If yall are arguing over this your never gonna make it!

Ummm why is this even a question? Please tell me you and who ever aren’t actually arguing over something like this?

:joy::joy::joy: this was directly below this post on my timeline. Lmao.

I think this post needs some context lol

Did the person also give the bath? If so, I’d consider that a diaper change. Personally, with my oldest many of his “diaper changes” resulted in a dunk in the tub🤷🏽‍♀️ Work smarter, not harder. lol

No
Totally 2 different things

The diaper is still getting changed isn’t it?

Don’t you just love fb. Keeps us laughing.

Proof people will argue anything

If they give the bath, yes… if they are taking a clean baby and just throwing a diaper on no… that’s like partially dressing the baby… they better go ahead and put the clothes on it too :joy:

Just change the baby’s diaper and move on! I hope this isn’t the classic argument of, he will change it this time and she will change it next time! Damn just change the diaper!

Is it the same diaper? No then the diaper is changed

I think yes. You have to wipe the baby before putting him or her in the tub. If the baby pooed then you’re definitely not gonna just throw the baby in the tub with poo everywhere. And then when baby is out you have to put on a new diaper. That’s literally changing the diaper to me lol

No lol. There’s no doodie on an already clean bum lol.

I call that getting them dressed after a bath

Wow that is frivolous. Bathing, changing, who cares you love your child enough that it shouldn’t matter who changes the diaper, whether it’s very messy or not. Geezh

Please don’t tell me this is an actual argument? Are you saying someone wants to put the same diaper on that they had on before bath? Or are you saying you want to wipe baby after a bath and put on a diaper?

Tricky question lol I would say you’re dressing baby…putting a new diaper on but it could also be considered changing diaper bc you take one off before bath and put new one on after lol

Once you take a diaper off and put a new one on that’s changing a diaper, bath or not.

This is something someone is arguing about? Petty.

Yes technically :smirk: there is just a bath in between lol.

When you put on new underwear after the bath… are you changing them or putting on new ones

OMG … pick your battles please.

:joy: yes? Are you expecting them to put the old diaper back on?

Well yeh coz, either way a fresh one is goimg on why is this even a question

That would be a no! Lol! Unless they were the one to take the diaper off and bathe them and put it on then yes, that’s a full change. But unless they dealt with pee or poop then it is just putting the diaper on! My husband would not get the full credit there!

I mean… if it’s a new diaper obviously. I’ve definitely done the “this one is clean and doesn’t have anything on/in it” after a bath before when low before.

I never even thought of it. Why does it matter?

Nope. Not the same thing!

Basically your taking off the old washing them and putting a fresh one on.

Im confused at the whole question

Nope. It’s only considered changing the diaper if the diaper is so bad all you can do is put them in the tub to keep from using the whole pack of wipes

What… is this foolery

If this is an actual argument with your significant other then you have bigger issues.

This has a “a man said that it was” written all over it. Lol

Sounds like the real question is “why isn’t my partner pulling their weight helping change diapers?”
Dudes, change the damn diapers with a smile.

I’m assuming somebody’s partner thinks they aren’t doing their share of diaper changing. No it’s not the same thing.

If you took the diaper off before the bath, yes. :woman_shrugging:

If he took the used diaper off before the bath and then put the new diaper on, then yes, but if you did all the ground work and all he did was put a new diaper on a clean baby, then no, he didn’t have to do any of the cleaning/wiping

Depends really if the diaper was soiled before the bath, they took it off, cleaned the baby up, put it in the tub, and then washed the baby, then put a new diaper on, then yes, actually it’s more than just taking off an old soiled diaper, cleaning the baby with baby wipes, then putting a new diaper on its different but the same, but if it’s a clean diaper, give the baby a bath, put the same diaper back on no its not the same

That depends. Was the diaper dirty and in need of changing before the bath?

Also, who goves a shit. Change the damn diapers!

Not quite the same as changing a poopy diaper.

First off I’m hoping this is a friendly debate because if not, it may be hiding a bigger issue between who ever is arguing.

Second… HELL NO! Thats like saying putting on clean underwear when you wake up is the same as if you have a diarrhea explosion and have to change your underwear. You really gonna just drop the dirty underwear and pull on some new ones without cleaning up? :face_vomiting:

Well it depends was the diaper on while in the bath:thinking::thinking::thinking::grin:

When you take off one diaper and put on another it is technically changing the diaper

Well not quit sure I rises to the level of changing a dirty diaper, but you are putting on a diaper

Kinda. The old one is gone, new one is on, therefore it was changed :upside_down_face::rofl:

Can already see issue-
He never changes baby, only does bath n says see I help with diapers… :woman_facepalming:
Nitpicking

If the person putting it on did not take it off and clean the baby then no. If you all are counting to see who changes more diapers and the person only put on a diaper on a clean baby tell them that it doesn’t count :smile:

No ways not at all not ever. I know I have a daughter

I mean… it’s half.
If they didn’t deal with the dirty diaper before the bath then they are only half way there…

Nope, does NOT qualify as a diaper change. Especially the poopy variety.

Nope that’s just like when you get out the shower gotta put on clean undies well babies gotta have a clean diaper and then cl an clothes so nope not the same in any way

Technically… yes. There was just a bath in between taking off and putting on.

Well, the end results are equal !

If you’re arguing about a debate like this… wow… does it matter who puts it on as long as the baby has a diaper?!

Depends. If my son poops before a bath, I don’t just stick him in the water with poop on him. So I use wet wipes and clean him off, then a bath, then a new diaper. I would consider that changing a diaper. But if he’s only peed, I just throw him right in there and I don’t consider that changing him

Changing is swaping it out the same person doing
Not I took it off, or I put it on

No, especially if they weren’t the one to bathe the child

I mean….unless you put the same diaper on from before the bath you’re TECHNICALLY changing the diaper I guess?! But no.

Only if the reason for the bath was because of a blow out in the previous diaper.

if that is all you have to worry about, count your blessings

Lol sorry but no it’s not the same .

Please don’t fight about petty crap like this. There’s no need to nickel and dime parenting

Ummm what  you take the diaper off. bathe the child and put a new one on so therefore u have “changed” them… :woman_shrugging::woman_shrugging: wheresthe confusion come from :exploding_head:

As long as you use a new diaper, then it is the same as “changing” a diaper lol
