So what has he used? At that age I had to used a pore cleaner …

Try a pore cleaner like clean and clear or a blackhead strip remover.

Tea tree is very good, and an exfoliant. Get those clearisil wipes too for in between washes

The best thing you can do is see a dermatologist

I use oxy deep pore , you can use it 1-3 times daily. Use couple times daily until it clears up then just use daily to keep blackheads away

If you can, get him into to see a dermatologist.

She can private message me and I’ll give her my #.
I’m an esthetician and can help.

Green mask, steam and pores cleaner, wash face with cleaner in shower

Rodan and Fields works great. I don’t sale it but I use it for myself and my oldest boy had bad bad black heads n his pores was huge now they aren’t. It really works. You would need the blemish wash it’s a white and purple bottle.

Biore charcoal deep cleanser face wash

Remove the stubborn ones - then I mix baking soda water and little coconut oil together use as a scrub. Wash with warm water and a little steam - finish with a cold water wash. Then I apply hemp oil.

Probiotics, cut out sugar/focus on getting more whole foods in, and OSEA & R.D Alchemy have amazing products! I would look into getting a facial from a reputable esthetician too, i love getting organic facials! it can help remove all the nasty stuff and hopefully give his face some love😊

I just turned 30 and have black heads the worst still. I use those masks and they bring pimples so bad so be careful

Dermatologist — accutane best thing I ever did!!!

Norwex body cloth. It is amazing and has done wonders for my horrible skin. You just use the cloth and water and gently buff your face

Don’t listen to the people recommending oil please. If his skin is already getting clogged easily the last thing you want to do is slather it in oil.

It depends on hos hormones. I knoweveryone says sugaf, fat, blah blah… But that’s not always the case. It’s hormones. They say sugar and all but it’s how your body breaks all that down.
A dermatologist would be a good start and ensure he’s using a deep clenaing wash 2x a day.
I do use the Proactive skin repair after my face wash and I exfoliate once a week or so. My skin is sensitive and my routine works well for me. His skin is different and a Dr would be able to help before you use something that wreaks havoc on his skin.

I work for a dermatology clinic, I would try to get him in with a local dermatologist to start him on a retin-A like tretinoin, should clear them right up!

Professional facial.

I suggest Pro- Active. Used it when I was young. It worked amazingly for me

See his doctor for an oral antibiotic. It bacterial and nothing but a specific antibiotic will help

Just a good skin care routine does wonders. My eleven year old had terrible black heads and thankfully after washing and moisturizing daily they cleared right up.

I started using curology best decision I ever made I’m at menopause age and hormones are crazy just like when your a teenager my face has never looked better I got fever blisters as well as acne. www.curology.com

Take dairy out of his diet apparently that causes acne more than sweets

He is a teenager, let him just wash his face clean and get a non oily moisturizer. But if you try any other stuff mentioned here might make it worse, you can also try and see a dermatologist they prescribe some medication that will be suitable for his face and age. Here people will advice what works for their skin’s

My kid and I have the same problem. Nothing seems to work and I’ve tried everything.

I had acne really bad as a teen , and honestly I tried so much and most things seemed to just break me out more . what got rid of mine was head and shoulders dandruff shampoo . dont ask me how :person_shrugging:
my cousin suggested it… so every night , i wet my face and scrub it in and leave it for about 2 minutes , sure enough it got rid of most of it, after about 4 days I noticed a big difference .
Good luck :relieved::metal:

Farmasi! Acne or Charcoal line. The charcoal line works amazing at removing what is already there…the acne line is amazing at helping with current and prevent. Ive used both and love both lines. I’m not sure rules on this group on you pm me or me telling you to join my group for more info ( All you need is Farmasi ) but Admin can delete my comment if needed.:heart:

My kids reduced their milk intake and it helped a lot. Not a lot of the over the counter products helped for long before the change in their diet

Neutrogena soap works well.

Apple cider vinegar. Moisten cotton ball and rub all over.

Soap water and moisturiser everyday

Facials an esthetician can help

Mary kay has a wonderful clear proof line that works wonders.

He may need a topical antibiotic. My son had lots of trouble and nothing was helping. At a physical the dr prescribed an antibiotic to apply to the face. Cleared him right up

Diluted tea tree oil has worked amazing on my face. I’ve always had perfect skin until I hit my 30s and now I’m having the worst adult acne. I’ve been using tea tree oil mixed with water rub it on and just let air dry, and it’s definitely made a difference

Oh man my 10 year old daughter has major black heads from wearing masks and I can’t get rid of them for shit! We’ve used biore nose strips, the black stuff that peels off, neutrogena, you name it and they won’t budge!

This stuff got ride of blackheads I never thought I would stop having…it made my face clearer than its ever been.

It might be build up from a product that he is using and not working for him. I went to get a facial by an esthetician the other day and she explained to me why the product I was using was NOT good for my skin type. The facial was $85. Try to find one in your area before taking him to the DR. It may be an easy fix with the switch of a product. Good luck

If you have insurance check and see if it covers Dermatologists. I would start there and they can prescribe a good acne wash. If no insurance Proactive works good. Acne Free also works good. It can be purchased at Walmart and is cheaper. I had really bad acne when I was a teen and in my early 20s. These were the only things that seemed to work and now I buy it for my teen boys.

Wash with ivory bar soap, Pop them, then clean face with rubbing alcohol. Repeat morning and night. Tanning bed 1-2x week is helpful also (with no lotions or sunblocks)

I know this seems cheap and isn’t fancy but it works!!! It seriously fucking works, do it every day for two weeks and come back to
Check in! Believe me

My daughter went to dermatologist and got on acutane! Then she also used PanOxyl from Walmart or drug store!

Oil cleansing is really good for pulling oil plugs out of your skin and helping maintain natural hydration and such. Never ever use coconut oil or essential oils though. Look up non-comedogenic oils for his skin type. I personally like sweet almond oil and grapeseed oil!

Dr Lee the pimple popper!!

Grainy cleansers help loosen blackheads. I use them in the shower. I also like Indian Earth (jar of green powder sold at Walgreens or online). Mix with organic apple cider vinegar with the “mother” for best results & use as a facial. Let dry mostly, then wash off. It can be used to pull out snake venom (or so it says), so helps pull stuff out of pores. Use an astringent after & whatever moisturizer doesn’t make his skin break out.

You can buy a machine that removes blackheads by suction.

I pick my 15 yr olds. Then he uses a cleaner and so far his face has stayed clear. He had a good 30 plus.

Hormones & sometimes there’s nothing you can do about it.
but La Roche Posay has great face washes

Be careful with drug called Acutane it has some pretty serious side effects, just google it.

Go to the dermatologist. My children have medicaid and they paid for the treatment. They were put on Accutane and it cleared their skin up. Do it asap so he doesn’t scar. It works!! Nothing over the counter really helps when it’s that bad.

Do a little bit of research on acid peels toners and exfoliants. For men. The right ones will help with blackheads. I think it may be glycolic acid. With a bit of research you’ll find the right one x

Dermatologist told me a long time ago, to wash my face in Dial antibacterial soap, the gold kind, never have any problems with it since then

I got a prescription from my doctor for Minocycline for acne. Cleared me up completely with in a couple weeks. Anything I tried over the counter wasn’t even touching it! I was so happy once I started that prescription. It’s just a pill you take daily. I used it for almost a year then stopped and didn’t need it any more. It did mess up my equilibrium for the first week I took it (always felt like I just got off an elevator), but it stopped after the first week.

What i thought was just blackheads has turned out to be folliculitus. Dermatology hasn’t helped me an ounce, I’ve actually been having lots of medical and dental issues and I haven’t gotten relief or answers to even one of them in about 5 years now, though they will sure charge your insurance for everything they can though🙄 But looking into it myself and trying some new things has brought me a little relief. A good derm and proper education on whatever it is he’s dealing with together may make a huge difference.

go see a dermatologist they may be able to figure out why and give him something to help

Squeeze them out after showering so pores are open makes it easier for them to come out then splash cold water onto skin

Steam . You don’t need a machine though they’re available. Bowl of boiling water and towel over his head and drink more water xxxx

Micellar water
Every morning and night
Safe. Natural and effective.

Also try blackhead strips. You can find them at Walmart near the face wash.

Best of luck!!

Mark Kay charcoal mask is amazing!

Was advised against squeezing them as this can cause inflammation leading to acne
After a shower /washing face, when pores will be open, use a mild facial scrub to gently exfoliate. Then rinse face in cool water and dab with an astringent such as witchhazel to help close pores.
Witchhazel will also help dry the oil on the skin which helps prevent further outbreaks

Sulphur cream has been my skin savior for everything from cysts, milia, and run of the mill acne. I’d definitely pair it with an salicylic acid cleanser, a decent toner, and non clogging moisturizer though. Also, have you looked at possible allergens or intolerances causing his skin issues? Such as milk or even pet dander.

Take him to an esthetician and see if they can open up/soften his pores and blackheads so they can come out without harsh squeezing and bruising. And I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of curology but it helps my skin soooo much its unreal! (Disclaimer: Not an advertiser)

10% benzoyl peroxide has worked better than any saylic acid formulas i have found.
