Well 1st off its his hair and aslong as its washed and clean I wouldn’t be worried curly hair is both a blessing and a curse… From experience 
… Maybe he doesn’t know how to look after it and no matter what he does it still doesn’t sit properly… My son also 14 hated his until he chose a new barber who knew exactly how to work with it and advised him what to use check out only curls on tik Tok best advice going

Just leave his hair alone trust me. My son is 14 and he has long hair. He cleans it daily but he doesn’t like brushing it either but lately he’s been asking me to put it into a ponytail for him so I brush it before I put his hair up. Let your son learn about his hair.
