Did tummy time on me when he didn’t feel like the floor. Or just put something there to cushion his tummy.

With my eldest she did tummy time on mine and my partners chest till she was about six weeks old then it was spilt between tummy time on our chest and tummy time on changing mat or a blanket on the floor. We’re doing the same with our 4 week old now she’s mainly doing tummy time on us we have done tummy time on her changing mat and she wasn’t a fan. You’ve just got to keep trying even if he just just 10 seconds of it the more he gets use to it the longer he will do it

Just keep trying even if it’s only for 10-20-30 seconds until he starts getting used too it. Make sure you put his favorite toys in front of him or a mirror so he can look at himself.

My daughter hated tummy time. She would also scream like crazy. I got her a water mat that had little fish in it that move and she loved it.

Myn never did tummy time on the floor she always did it on my chest! Tummy time isn’t for them to learn to crawl it to strengthen the muscles in their neck back and arms so tummy time on you is just as effective as tummy time on the floor

Lay on the floor with him. Spend lots of time with him on the floor. Play with him on the floor. Once he’s happy to be on the floor put his favorite toy (something bright & musical ) or keys or your phone( with something playing on YouTube) just out of his reach and watch how he tries to grab it🥰

You could also lay him on your bed, on his tummy. Maybe after his bath, while massaging his little body put the toy just out of his reach.

Keep a special toy for tummy time. Don’t let him play with it, unless he is reaching for it on his tummy. Always keep moving it a little further out of his reach, . He’ll be crawling pretty soon😊

He should be very used to this by 8 months. Just make it happen even if he cries.

Don’t make her. My son hated it, and he soon rolled over himself to do it. He was walking by 10 months…really don’t worry about it x

Keep introducing it!! And is she crying or shrieking?

Have you tried with the baby on your chest?

My youngest hates tummy time unless it’s on our chest. BUT he has really bad acid reflux. So anytime he is on his belly he pukes unless he is on us.

If he’s not crawling at 8 months or trying I’d speak with my dr. My daughter had to get physical therapy to assist her. She had delays I didn’t recognize that therapy corrected.

My son hated tummy time until we visited the chiropractor

Get him checked out -
There might be a hernia.

Tummy time is for neck strengthening, at 8 months old his neck should be just fine so unless it’s not he doesn’t need tummy time anymore. Just set him on the floor on his bottom with some toys, he’ll crawl eventually. Don’t stress mama!

For us , the more we did it , the easier it became .

Never heard of tummy time and I raised 2 kids. They both crawled and then walked when they were ready. You can’t force it.

An 8 month old should be past the tummy time stage, they should be sitting up on their own by this age. If your baby isn’t sitting up by now, you should talk to a pediatrician.

You should always start tummy time at weeks old.

He will do it when he is ready

The average age to start crawling is between 7-12 months, pulling themselves up between 9-12 months and walking between 10-18 months.

There are also babies that don’t start crawling at all really, they just want to start walking straight away.

There is no absolute timeline for when a baby should start crawling or walking.
