hey ladies, I’m 32+5 weeks pregnant. Last night I lost my mucus plug. Anyone lose their plug and went into early labor and or didnt go into labor until full term after losing it?
The mucus plug can regenerate. If it’s not bloody, then no need to worry.
You should be fine, it grows back if you start having contractions tho call the doctor.
I lost my mucus plug around 33 weeks and I lost some more again just recently (37 weeks) so it doesn’t always mean labor
Every mama and pregnancy is different so our answers will vary. I lost my mucus plug and went into labor at 33 weeks (they stopped it). Second time, I didn’t loose it at all that I noticed. My water just broke at 38. Just pay attention to your body, and have a bag ready for the hospital just in case. You got this <3
It can regenerate, no worries
First pregnancy lost mine at 38 weeks gave birth two weeks later. Second pregnancy I started losing it at week 32, currently 37 and still losing some of it
I lost mine & had my daughter 2 weeks later.
Mine came out about 4 days b4.i got induced
I lost mine at 37 weeks & had my son that afternoon via csection but diapered to 10cm in 2 hours
I lost mine at 34 weeks… Went into labor a few days later… Pay attention to your body. Call your Dr if you have any unusual symptoms or contractions
I started losing mine really early and still went full term
I went into labor 2 weeks after i lost my mucus plug
How do you know when you lose it and what should I look for? Sorry this is my first pregnancy and I’m only 15 weeks right now
It regenerates…I lost mine 2 weeks before I had him the day after his due date…with both pregnancies with my girls I lost pieces at a time…no blood don’t worry
Your mucus plug is about 4 thick centimeters of mucus. Most of the time we jsut lose little chunks of it, not the entire thing at once.
I started losing mine at 31 weeks, lost the majority of mine (one giant glob) at 36 weeks, lost another large glob at 37 weeks, and now I’m losing small bits here or there at 38 almost 39 weeks.
However, in my case I have also been stuck in prodromal labor since 31 weeks. Its basically braxton hicks but with stronger contractions that are able to make changes to the cervix. Either way, I had to notify my doctor.
My doctor hasnt been worried at all since they don’t stay consistent for long, however they have made small changes to my cervix. I’m having the bigger contractions now, but considering I’m full term its no big deal.
following this question as I’m 30 weeks with my first
Lost mine at 32 weeks and had my daughter at 37 1/2 weeks
First time it was hours second time it was a day later
Lost my mucus plug a couple of times honestly with all three pregnancies. All three pregnancies went to 41 weeks and I was induced all three times.
I lost mine at 30 weeks had her at 38 weeks
It can grow back… Unfortunately losing it doesn’t really mean much.
Mine always come out started around 35 weeks and lost bunches daily untill induced after due date.
I lost mine twice with my first baby. Water broke at exactly 39wks.
It can regenerate. It is not a sign of labor, necessarily. Just keep paying attention to your body.
I lost mine at like 22 weeks with my first. Didn’t lose it at all with my second
Lost mine at exactly 33 weeks. Baby wasn’t born until 38+5. Dr told me mucus plug and “dropping” are not an indication of labor. You can go over even if both of things happen at 30 weeks.
Go to the hospital. At this point if baby comes baby will need medical help. They can give steroid shots for baby and can give you meds to stop labor. If however they send you home have very little to zero physical activity. This will help prevent early labor. I have had two premies. Do what you can to avoid a nicu stay.
You wanna look more at “bloody show” rather than mucus plug. As everyone has said it does regenerate. I started losing bits of mine around 36 weeks with both pregnancies and still went overdue and had to be induced with both. If theres plug mixed with blood start getting concerned
I lost the plug 4 days before my water broke
It usually regenerates so no real true sign of labor.
My son was born at 26 weeks he is 30 yers old now
You can lose your mucus plug or parts of it. Many times through out your pregnancy. If your water breaks is the biggest sign unless you are being induced or a csection. Don’t look at the mucus plug as a sign of labor at all.
I lost my mucus plug way early, it never came back. You just can’t have unprotected sex as anything that goes in the baby is subjected to!
