I’d go with whatever guidelines your doctor gave you

I was told you need to use condoms for the first week then you are fine. Never heard this one month talk. Just use condoms for now.

Use backup for 1 month. I work in gyn office and this is what the NPs tell patients.

My OB told me 7 days and then the pharmacy suggested 30 days to get my hormones back in check :woman_shrugging:

I was told to use condoms for a whole month while on the pill.

Anywhere from 2 weeks to a month

It’s usually advised to use an additional form of protection for 7 days from the day you start taking the pill. The leaflet included in the pill box will tell you so.

Generally, 30 days for full effectiveness

I have 2 beautiful twin boys that were conceived 2 weeks after starting birth control. I would definitely wait a month.

1 month usually 30 days your hormones have to adjust and thats saying you take it as its supposed to be taken.

Ask the freaking doctor duh.

Something else they arent telling you. IF YOUR ON ANTIBIOTIC MAKE SURE YOU USE PROTECTION. YOU CAN GET PREGNANT.

Anyone I’ve ever known to get pregnant by mistake was on the pill. It’s very easy to forget about and take something that counter reacts to it like allergy meds.

2 weeks min but make sure you use extra protection regardless if youre worried at all, twins ooppies while on the pill. Also if you have had a lot of alcohol Im talking super blacked out drunk use extra for the next week same with antibiotics

Did you not discuss this with your doctor?

Use some other protection until you have gone through one entire month of pills and have had a period. Then you should be protected as long as you are taking the pillsas prescribed.

I was told wait 7 days… we didn’t and I now have a 2 year old wooopsy daisy baby

Pills are about a month, implant a week but just depends on ur body and how u take meds…but to be safe used condoms and if need be take the PlanB…lol
