Did you stop having ultrasounds after your anatomy scan?
Yes, normally you do. After that you’d only get them if there’s something their concerned about.
Yes. It’s normally only the 1 scan.
Depending on if your high risk they may do one at 32 wks, or unless they are concerned about something, but normally yes
Depends on the pregnancy! With my oldest I only had that one.
With my twins I had multiple because it was considered “high risk”.
Had an ultrasound around 8 weeks, my anatomy scan at 19 weeks, and then 2 more ultrasounds during the remainder of my pregnancy.
I had one at 8 weeks 12 weeks and at 20 weeks then I had a growth ultrasound last week at 32 weeks and another one scheduled for when I’m 36 weeks because I have gestational diabetes and want to make sure he isn’t bigger then what he should be from getting extra sugar
No. With my first I had a to go back for more pictures where baby wasnt in position for some hearts pictures. Then went back at 32wks for a growth scan. With my second I also had to go back after for more pictures and have a growth scan at 32wks. With my third, I went back at 22wks and 32wks because the ultrasound tech couldnt find her right kidney. Then after she was born they did an ultrasound on her which she didnt have her right kidney at all. Just her left.
It really depends on practice standards, Mother/ baby’s health and insurance allowance. Some insurance companies only allow a confirmation scan and a anatomy scan unless another scan would be medically necessary. My insurance company normally only covers 2 but because of a potential medical issue they allowed more to monitor the situation.
Normally no. I had to bc bub wouldnt show his profile so I had to go for another, i also have to go back for a size estimate my first baby got stuck to give a possible weight for the 2nd one. We also did the 3d/4d ultrasounds with both because they are fun lol
My my first no. I had them alot at the end. I am almost 26 weeks now. I have 3 so far. I have another scheduled for the 23nd. I have to see a specialist because I am over 35 years old. They check everything.
I had a lot more with this baby, but I had more health issues too. Not every appointment but maybe every other one I had a quick ultrasound. I loved getting to see my little one more often and knowing he was ok.
With my first I got one once a week after 30 weeks. But I was high risk for defect. With my second I wasn’t and got one more after the anatomy scan.
When everything looks normal that’s usually your last one
