As she’s so young, start internally. Make or get a natural herbal body cleansing drink & increase her daily water intake. My daughter is 16 with zero issues since we started cleansing once a year with a daily water goal.
Send Her to a dermatologist before trying anything over the counter… I had acne pretty bad as a teen and ended up with chemical burns from Pro Active! I still have white patches (scars from it)
I would get cerave cream and just keep Her face clean and very moisturized until She sees a dermatologist… Puberty sucks My 11 year old deals with acne as well…
I had chemical burns from the Clinique set after going but my grandmother purchased it for me so I continued to use it. The astringent hurt me so much I didn’t want anything touching my face let alone some wind or sun. After that set was used, we tried Pro Active and same thing. Went through so many products name brand and expensive and was left in pain. After a trip to pediatrician, I switched to a steroid cream for a couple months and just clear blue morning burst and haven’t had a problem. Please use a dermatologist or talk to a pediatrician. A steroid may be recommended, be consistent. I haven’t had an acne issue since
Either cerave or la roche possay both available at target and gentle on the skin. You don’t want harsh scrubs on the skin and make sure to moisturize.
My daughter is having the same problem and this has helped her so much! And me too lol
Make sure to do research for the correct skin care routine for morning and night and try something like clean and clear or Neutrogena to start. Expensive brands don’t always mean effective
I’d check her diet. Check in with her pediatrician. Might be a reaction in correlation with puberty.
My 12 year old daughter uses CeraVe facial wash. She has used it once a day & so far she hasn’t had any issues with acne since she started using it.
Rose hip seed oil can clear a face overnight
check her diet. But it’s sounds like puberty, I was around her age when I started and had to deal with acne. if it gets to be too bad where it’s bothering her self esteem, take her to a dermatologist.
Cerave for oily skin
I do not sell it but I got my son the CounterControl Line from BeautyCounter with the Charcoal Bar for my 12yo son who is almost completely through puberty. He drinks LOTS of water and eats pretty cleanly.
We love that BeautyCounter is a clean company that aims to do better for the planet. His face has cleared up so much. And looks so much better.
Cerave (I think it’s called) and pro active has been the only ones to help my girls out
Proactive works good.
Witch hazel wipes have worked great for my son!!
Sounds like Hormonal acne. Try Differin Gel
Whilst above comment suggest acnecide ( it is good ) it might be too harsh on her skin.
Try finding a face wash that works for her skin.
The picture I’ve added is a gentle face wash.
I imagine at this age her skin would be sensitive etc but sounds like she might have combination ( oily in certain areas ) if she is breaking out around her chin and nose.
You could also use cerave foaming cleanser which is for combo skin.
X
SKIN JUICE my 11 year old uses bio juice then pineapple punch for mornings & pulp cleanser, bio juice then rejuice for night and liquid for big spots I also use the same but pimple punch serum aswell…
Egg white mask! Used to do this all the time and I would notice a slight difference after one time doing it!
Just brush egg white over you face, wait for it to dry and repeat 3x then when the last coat is dry you wash it off. I had really bad acne when I was young, had medication for it and everything. The egg white mask helped a lot
MDacne is the best thing my face ever came into contact with!! I’ve never recommended any acne treatment until I came across this one. It’s specialized specifically for you & you can speak with a dermatologist with the subscription
Clearasil works great for my 16 yr old, he is acne prone and it keeps his skin pretty clear, I buy him the cleanser and the wipes
Teach her how to wash her face properly and get her a good moisturizer. Make sure that she’s changing pillow cases twice a week.
Gunilla of Sweden Lerosett products. They are organic and have aloe vera. Great brand and products for acne.
Apricot scrub. I would wash my face with it every night before bed and anytime I broke out, that was the only one thing that helped clear my breakouts and kept my skin clear.
I eventually took my son to his pediatrician when over the counter wasn’t working and his esteem was taking a hit. He prescribed a cream in a jar that we had to refrigerate . I can remember the name but it starts with a B.
Worked like a charm
Mary Kay has a acne line that helped me with my out of control hormonal acne and its cheap … I did use a different moisturizer though Cetaphil in the jar. My 12 yr old just started getting acne and I’ll use the acne treatment on her as well and so far it works also I got her a face handheld scrubber was like 10$ at Walmart to help wash her face vs a towel and it helps get all the dirt out of pores better.
WATERRRRRRR she just begin to increase her water intake… GENTLEEEEEEE be gentle with her skin, don’t jump into harsh chemicals just yet, start with the basics and see Dove bar, wet the bar but not the face rub it in for about a min and let it sit while say she brushes her teeth, then a gentle facial brush, add dove to that, gently scrub face and MOISTURIZEEEEEEEE! EGYPTIAN MAGIC IS AMAZING!!! Also learned about spraying salt water on your face, read about it! Pretty interesting stuff! Chemicals are super harsh and sometimes the simpler the better
So, my 10 year old has bumps on her forehead and around her nose. We know it’s because she’s not washing her sweaty face. It may not be your issue bit I know it’s ours. I even bought special face cleansers for her and she doesn’t use them regularly to do enough good. I try to remind her but I have a lot on my own plate. We’re trying to teach her to remember.
My daughter has the same issue and is 10, I cut her back on sugars, she uses a daily cleanser and moisturizer from cetaphil and I also make her wear a bonnet at night so the oils/ dirt from her pillow case do not get on face, so I wash those weekly
Take the vitamin zinc. We swear by it and my daughter has been taking it for a while now and her skin is clear again.
Toner and I love the sticker things that go over white head pimples. They pull everything out over night. I use the klog soft shield pimple patch. They are like 5$ from Sokoglam.
If you don’t want to make her a doctor’s appointment, you. Am always take her to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist what over the counter products they suggest!
I took my teenage boys to the dermatologist and they received RX face day and night wash that helps %
I seen something this.morning about raw unpasteurized honey…its also suppose to help will the scarring… just dot on
My daughter too we are using gentle washed and witch hazel wipes. They seem to help as long as we do it daily.
La rosche posay!! They have acne products that work wonders and lipikar moisturizer is
Raw honey used as a face wash and spot treatment.
The only thing that solved my breakouts after trying tons of products… Evening Primrose.
Have we tried the basics? Yellow dial antibacterial soap and a wash rag?
My derm doc recommended dove soap. Morning and night. Cleared it right up.
Raw local honey is amazing to clean your face…you apply it and wait 5 minutes then rinse. Great for treating bacteria. Also tons of water.
I used proactive as a kid because I had horrible acne due to oily skin. If they still make it buy her some. My dad bought it for me and it worked great
Hot water opens poors cold water closes them
I personally have only ever used Neutrogena products.
Getting rid of dairy will clear it
A lot of the reason people get it is hereditary.
This might sound crazy… But im older and I have acne… I used dawn dish soap. It pulls the oil out of my face that’s causing the acne. It works.
Pacifica sea foam cleanser is cruelty free and leaves my face smooth
I use Biore’ charcoal cleanser $5@ DG and it works amazing
Proactive has done wonders for my daughter
Mary Kay has the best acne kit. It has four products and costs $45. If you don’t know anyone who sells Mary Kay, I think you can order directly from their website.
I spent the better part of my teenage years dealing with acne. It was awful. I’m 31 now and still struggle with it at times. I have tried just about every over the counter and prescription acne treatment on the market but since everybody’s skin is different, what works for me, may or may not work for your kiddo. It’s basically trial and error until you find something that works. My recommendation would be to try some of the Neutrogena products. They have always worked well for me. They have products made specifically for acne prone skin, so look for those. I use their transparent facial bar for acne prone skin first, the follow up with their oil free acne wash twice a day. As of right now, that combination seems to be working. I very rarely break out. I hope you find something that works for your daughter! Good luck!
Personally I would use CeraVe and practice washing their face properly and routinely. A good diet and not touching face does wonders as well
Cetaphil or cerave are great to start out with, it’s very gentle and my dermatologist recommended them. I would stay away from scrubs and witch hazel since they can irritate the skin and make problems worse.
Cera ve, cetaphil cleaners always work for my and there fairly cheap/gentle
THIS!!! My 10 year old and I have been battling her puberty pimples for a year now and we have tried so many face washes, masks and we even tried the 3 step Walmart version of proactive but nothing had eliminated her acne. It is so frustrating bc she is gorgeous but doesn’t feel it because of her acne.
They are natural and work very well. I’ve suffered hormonal acne since I was in middle school and it took me until my 20s to figure out tea tree oil is the best gift ever! Lol also make sure she has the right moisturizer for her skin and using it every day.
Not natural but works well with the tea tree oil… salicylic acid face washes.
Wash with water and baking soda. It absorbs oil and gently exfoliates. Its clean and inexpensive
Truthfully yea tree oil and aloe
colloidal silver it worked amazingly for a friend of mine. She just put it in a spray bottle and sprayed her face in the morning and at night.
She may have to start watching what she eats? My daughter brakes out because she likes to eat junk food.
Pimple patches are a life saver
Hydration, low sugar in her diet, etc
But I just recently started using L’BRI products and I wish I could turn back the clock and discover them 15 years ago!! Would’ve saved me a lot of frustration and low self esteem … I’ve dealt with acne bad all my life and still struggle with it at 27 … this is the first thing I’ve used that is actually clearing it up, not drying my skin, and feels gentle and soothing and light
