Ditch the nappys and pull ups. Hes using them
As a safety blanket. He’ll have to go to the toilet eventually.
I only have girls but wen is time is time I just don’t use diapers or pull ups. No no no no more just underwear
Cheerios for aim is good. You can also try dish soap… It will make bubbles. Get undies with his favorite character on them. Tell him they wont want to be his friend anymore if hes pees or poops on them. Lol worked for me
boys’ neurological connection between the bladder and the brain develop more slowly that girls. Boys, therefore, often take longer to “get the message” about needing to toilet; and, that’s why boys continue to wet their beds - often LONG after girls have mastered the “wake up - GOTTA GO"
I started my son as soon as he could crawl. Every time I went to the restroom he went with me. Each time I would give him a gummy lifesaver. I had him potty trained by the time he was a year-and-a-half.
The frog urinal worked for my oldest son
Put him in big boy pants.
Mine, honestly, learned by going outside to pee. NOTHING else worked. He also is a tad stubborn and he just had to decide that he wanted to do it.
Stop using diapers and pull ups. Lots of praise, lots of accidents, and lots of patience.
Pack a lot of clothes.
I gave up on my son as it seemed the more i tried the harder it was i finally gave up after a year of trying, after about a month of not trying he finally came one day amd told me he was a big boy amd wanted to use the potty and he has been potty trained since. Although with my oldest he was almost 8 by the time he was potty trained, he has autism, and medicaid payed for his diapers once he turned 3 they just sent them to my house my doctor wrote a script for them, im not sure if they paid for them because of his age or because he was special needs but it wont hurt to ask
we potty trained my brother by putting him in a long tee shirt and nothing else. he peed on the floor once and then he learned he had to use the big boy potty and was trained ever since. if we were outside, he would pee on a tree
No day nappies/pull ups.
Encourage and put on toilet especially 20 mins after food or drink.
Sticker chart.
My girl was 4 when she was toilet trained, sometimes they have no interest and then one day it just clicks in
He obviously wasn’t ready at 2. All kids are difderent. Girls at 2 yes, but ive noticed most boys are 3-4. He is alot smarter now, so hang on mama he will get it. Consistency is the most important part.
I stopped buying them my son is four and is just now fully potty trained within the last six months I quit buying diapers and pull ups and got underwear set a timer and take him every thirty minutes and sit for 5
- let him go outside, and 2. just forget diapers and pull ups, I ran out one day and said that’s it, we are done. but letting them go outside for some reason seems to work, encourage them or maybe it’s fun for them idk? but I trained both my boys without daddy around, it was easier than expected except my delemia was I didn’t know what to call his penis when referencing to push it down or hold it not to pee everywhere ( btw we went with pee-pee and swipe lol)
Let him go naked. Worked for my son when everything else did not. Only use pull ups for bedtime until night trained.
We told him as soon as he started using the potty he could go to school. Even let him start early younger than everyone else.
It’s a job you can’t let up on. Do not put a diaper on him during the day at all. Praise him when he goes to the big boy potty reward him when he goes. Don’t reply on him telling you he has to go. About every 15 minutes make him set on potty for a few minutes. He will get there.
Put him in regular underwear. When he has an accident he won’t like it.
His older brother was going to Cub Scout camp and the only way that he could go as a four-year-old was to be potty trained. That’s what did it.
This is so weird but I’ve heard it from Every mama with a boy that I know. Cheerios! Or fruit loops, lol. Make it a Target practice game
Umm, wonder if some of these tips will work for lil grls…
Stand him in front of.toilet if.possible have a Male show him how it wked for me
Cold turkey. Take the diaper off and don’t turn back. It will be a couple weeks of extra laundry but soon enough he’s gonna get tired of waking up and changing sheets. Other than that I cut off drinks and go to bathroom before bedtime. N bring extra clothes places, but practice going before you leave your home or the place ur at. But def cold turkey… especially at this point
Stop buying diapers only have him wear underwear bc then you just washing clothes. My son did the nude for 3 days thing.
I let them pee off the back porch
I trained my son for a long time. You can’t keep going between training and diapers. It’ll take longer.
My youngest son was hard to train. So we had him go out on the back porch (we lived in the country, no neighbors and had wooden fenced yard) and he thought it was fun peeing off the porch. Took like a week after that. My oldest son, I couldn’t get him potty trained for nothing and his grandpa saids one time. If you pee or poop in your pants you can’t go to the see lease anymore. He was trained that day. He loved the deer lease. So we figured it out. If we told him we was taking something away he loved so much. Then it would work and it did
Sticker chart. I made my son a chart and bought him minions stickers (he loved despicable me) when he’d pee he’d get to put a sticker on his chart as well as when he washed his hands and pulled up his pants on his own. When he pooed he got to put a sticker on the chart and I’d give him a dum dum. It took a week to potty train him.
Every time he uses the bathroom on himself clean him up with the waterhose
Stop buying pull ups and diapers. It could be confusing. My son’s pre school told me to do that and it was a miracle.
Strip him butt naked for a weekend. He’ll get the idea. Let him pick out his own big boy undies.
As soon as we made the decision, there were no more nappies. A few accidents but nothing crazy. Pull ups and nappies slow down the process
Stop putting him in diapers and pull ups. Only at night. My now 5 yr old needed pull-ups at night until almost 4.5.
Let him pee on a tree or try to hit Cheerios in the toilet thats how i potty tried my nephews
My little girl started using the potty at 11 months…it’s because she was in daycare with older children maybe that would help
Only let him have a diaper at night & go commando during the day or let him stay naked. Worked for my son
My oldest would not poop in the toilet and this went on for months. He always told me when he would
Poop in his pants it was nasty. I started putting him in the bathtub with a box of wipes and a trash can to clean him self when he pooped his pants. It only took 4 dirty pants for him to realize it was cleaner to poop in the toilet then to clean himself when he went in his pants.
Limit drinking. Sip only before bed. Be dry in the morning before you try for during the day. Do this at least for a week. Closer to age 2 is better to try. Younger the really don’t understand. Night time dry first. No drinks during the night. Almost stop after 6.
Let his dr know my 4 year old has to go to a therapist to be potty trained and nothing wrong with him
I started training my son when he was 1 and a half.
As soon as he starts wriggling to get up from a sleep, I would take him straight to the toilet and let him go. If he goes, lots and lots of praise
Then as he gets older, take him during the day hourly or so.
Using identifying labels so he knows the difference between number 1 and number 2’s.
Again, lots and lots of praise.
Undies are great too, praise for wearing undies lol
Mine is toilet trained now, he turned 2 in May, he wears a nappy at night though (just incase) but hasn’t wet one in a while, (like when the toilets occupied in the morning).
Good luck mumma
Put something in the toilet and have him try to sink it worked for mine
I let mine pick out their own underwear and told them they didn’t want to poop or pee on their favorite character. I also did lots of praise when they did go and gave them a small treat as reward. It could be a sticker, washable tattoo, gummies, etc.
Get a pottie just for him. Put it next to the big one . When you go take the child with. He will sit if you sit. Try it. It worked for us twice,.
My kid was potty trained at 18 months but if she was four I’d be livid too
Put one fruit loop in the toilet bowl and tell him to pee pee on it
With my brother we were broke so my mom one day said screw it, she bought a pack of underwear and said he can sit in an accident if he has one. My brother hated th e feeling of wet underwear and was potty trained in a weekend after almost a year of trying.
Straight outta diapers to big boy boxers just like daddys
Following cause same. I mean my son goes to potty for pee but not number 2
