Research the laws and regulations for your state.
Research the different styles and fund which one best fits your learner.
Start with unschooling - basically unlearn public school robotic ways.
Remember homeschooling is not public school and not meant to look like public school.

I would look up K12. That seems like a good program. I’ve heard good things about it.

Research your schools, my son was in one that shut down and their curriculum was a year behind public schools, so when they shut down and I had to send him back, he got sent back a year behind.
Edit: I had to do nothing but sign him up with the home school, they contacted his district and transferred him to home school.

Good homeschooling laws for your state. If you happen to be in Florida I can help you out. Some states are alot harder then others. Beware of calling the school bored because they don’t always kow all the facts. I have learned that. Also join homeschooling groups for your area. Some can be overwhelming but some can be very helpful.

I would join all the homeschool groups in your area. A lot of the wording on the websites makes things seem intimidating. When you talk to other moms they tend to break it down and make it understandable.

All states have different laws and regulations.

Start with researching and understanding your state laws. Find what’s best that works for kids. I create my own curriculum for my kids by using our library and free resources I find.

K12 online school is awesome. My daughter has been using it for several years. Available in most states. Completely free and they send you pretty much everything needed including a laptop. They set the courses and have wonderful teachers. All you have to do is make sure your kid logs in and does their work.
