I’m almost 35 weeks and have zero motivation to do anything between Braxton hicks and not sleeping a lot because of being uncomfortable. I’m exhausted all day at work, and any little task takes all my energy. How do I get my energy back? Is there anything I can eat or drink that will help? I only have five weeks till my c-section, but any advice til then will help so much.
You have no rest . Just be comfy all the time no matter what ur doing . Take time for urself because you wont have it ever again . Take it from mum of two who is currently on edge of a super king bed with two kids asleep right behind me . Enjoy !
This is the time to relax and just be momma! The end is the hardest part and your there! Try to nap when you can and forget the rest, ask for help if you need around the house and order out !
I slept in a recliner the last month of my 2nd pregnancy and that was the only way I could sleep somewhat comfortably
Feel it girl. I’m 36 weeks and have no motivation between the Braxton Hicks, taking care of a 2 year old and keeping the house cleaned by 4 o’clock I’m drained, also no sex drive what so ever. I want him to keep that thing as far away from me as possible, just adds to the discomfort
Quite work. Stay home and nap as needed . Get all the rest You can. Walk around the block. Good luck little momma!
Well, my kid is 19 months and I still don’t have my energy back! use this time to REST! Read! SLEEP! Make sure you are packed for the hospital is about it.
I heard between 16-18 years depending on how independent your child becomes . I personally can’t answer that cuz all I got is energy . 1.5 year old and full time job .
Your body is telling you to slow down. Listen to it.
Relax , you don’t need to do anything, when babe is here you will kick in to mommy mode , and everything will be okay
I’m 36 weeks with 4 kids 11 to 2 years old. I feel this with my soul! And with Virtual learning…I’m in bed by 830 EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.
Right there with you. I am also 35 weeks. Your body is just getting ready to have baby. Get the rest you need and don’t over work yourself or stress over not getting things done.
Girl… snoogle. Best thing I ever bought for myself for anything ever. Go name brand. Don’t go cheap. SNOOGLE
Increesing ur iron intake vitamin d and vitamin c can help give u an energy boost hun maybe ask ur midwife to check ur blood levels but please remember u are growing another person inside of u who is taking up all ur room so everything is squashed up in to ur rib cage making taking oxygen harder coursing u to get more tired please give ur self a break mummy
I worked up until about 1 month before my due date but after that I was exactly the same, my doctor suggested to take iron supplements - they really didn’t do much since I was carrying around what felt like a calf. I’d say just rest and enjoy the peace and quiet while it’s available and just get small things done, don’t push yourself
Don’t feel bad. Just rest. You will get your energy back. Take care of you and take some time for yourself before little gets here.
Don’t be worrying love you need to get plenty of rest now every woman is like that when they are near there time congratulation
I drink peppermint tea with honey before bed time to help me sleep. Sometimes life gets too stressful.
I’m 31 weeks and feel your pain. I get sent home from work every other day bc I’m drained. I literally don’t have any motivation or strength to do much. I eat healthy I drink water. Small emails etc. I barley sleep at night due to being uncomfortable . This is my 4 th pregnancy and my first boy! I’m hoping they will let me go early since I will be a c section.
Exhaustion is normal, however it may be worth asking your doctor to check your Vitamin D levels. Mine were way low and I felt much better once I started taking supplements to get them up again.
Try V8 energy they helped me they are healthy
It’s normal. Ask your doctor if you can take B vitamin complex. Should help
Be good to yourself
At 35 weeks, rest is best! You’ll need the rest now, to have when your little one arrives. Adjusting some vitamins may help, but don’t be so hard on yourself. Your body is storing the energy you’re going to need.
Rest, honey. You’ll need it.
It’ll start coming back around year 3…maybe 5.
Ask dr before you take any vitamins or supplements!
Try nice smoothies with fresh fruits and veggies
Light meals meaning nothing heavily greasy or fried etc etc
nice healthy smoothie in the morning
Have that baby!!
Don’t take anything without asking your DR
Have you tried a maternity pillow? Mine was a life saver.
35 wks? Geez just rest! Your body is about to be put through the most unimaginable work out. Our bodies are incredibly well designed. You will likely have bursts of energy as you close in on your date. It’s very possible your body is preparing itself for the birth.
I would for sure speak to your doctor, he/she will know best.
I personally think you should rest and not worry too much. After the baby comes there won’t be much sleep to be had!
Praying for a smooth delivery of a happy healthy baby and a glowing mama!! Please post pics! Nothing more beautiful than a new mom with her baby!!
I’m sorry to break this to you, but you won’t have any energy for at least the next three years.
Its ok rest. Soon you will be on go go go. Its you’re body asking for it.
First two babies didn’t have a problem with energy or getting things done the last one I was always tired but she was a very active baby in the womb think she took all my energy. If you can take 6 weeks off before the pregnancy that may help don’t know what your work allows
It happens, let yourself be lazy and relax! You won’t get the chance again for awhile. The sleep when baby is sleeping is a myth, that’s when you get things done. Put your feet up and enjoy your me time for the next few weeks!
Enjoy any moment of rest you can get! Won’t have much time once the baby is here lol
Are your iron and vitamin c levels ok. I found taking these. Also folate tablets one a day. Was very helpful.
Exercise, it will put you sleep so good , I’m 41 weeks getting induce tomorrow morning wish me luck yall
Im 8 weeks pregnant been in pain for 6 weeks my doctors can’t do anything for me because everything will harm the baby I have no energy to do anything but I still go to work I still drop the kids off at school I still clean and take care of them when we get home. You just won’t have energy yet. Your body is making a baby and your 35 weeks your almost due so your body is getting ready to have a baby it’s gonna work more energy of you. Sometimes having coffee in the morning helps or middle of the day but not very much it should boost you a bit or get the baby excited and move the baby sometimes that gives you your energy back every time my daughter moved it’s like I got wired and got a boost.
I’m 38 weeks and I’m in the same boat no energy and always tired.
This was my issue while pregnant my dr had me buy vitamin d³ and take one daily it helped me
That’s because your body is resting for the hardest work you will ever do/ but with the greatest benefit package! Yep you will be exhausted many times- roll with it/ it is ever changing!
As moms, that’s just how we have to operate sometimes. I’ll tell you what though, once you do accomplish your tasks you’ll sure be proud of yourself!
Unfortunately the fatigue is probably here to stay until delivery. I’m currently 37 weeks with my third and last baby, my c section is Thursday after coming home from the hospital your energy should return very quickly congrats mama and good luck!
I just had my baby and this time around , nesting never came. Never had the motivation at all. I just accepted help from my mom and she helped me.
What’s everyone else is saying! I just gave birth to my second and I was exhausted. I was just resting everywhere around the house. I notice what did hell though was when I would take my unisom at night and get a good hard night sleep I would wake up pretty energized and ready for the most part of the day! Unisom is safe and was recommended by my obgyn !
Sleep in a recliner, being propped up helped me with all of my pregnancies. Or, get one of those fabulous maternity pillows… the horseshoe shaped one that goes all the way around your body.
Check with work and see when you can start your leave. Not sure what number baby this is. if it’s not your first, your already know. If it is your first, you’re not gonna sleep for the rest of your life, so take advantage now. I was a stay at home mom with my first 2. With my last two, I took leave a little early so that I could both rest and make sure the house was ready for baby.
Have you had your nesting phase yet? Because if not, that should hit any day now and if you’re anything like I was, you’ll have tons of energy. About a month before my last two, it hit me. 8 months pregnant and I was scrubbing my house, top to bottom, making sure it was all done before the baby came home.
You will never get your energy back
37 weeks 5 days here. So very much exhausted and sore. Rest my dear. All we can do, it’s what are bodies are telling us to do. Hard at 1st, but much needed
eat clean foods for energy not just because your bored or craving. Limit drinks before bed to reduce bathroom trips, comfortable pillows for support to get good sleep. Other than that just rest girl it’s okay!
Force yourself to take a walk outside. Fresh air, some sunshine, and even the smallest amount of exercise helps me. 32 weeks here. Growing that baby is a mental game too!
My son is 8 months now and I still feel exhausted and no energy but that can’t stop you … what I do is try to workout for atleast 20 mins in the early morning when my son is asleep just to get my body going for the day …
