Likely hormonal, talk to your dr

That is definitely hormonal. It can be corrected with a dr. See an endocrinologist

Whatever you do don’t shave! Tweezers are your best friend or waxing. If your insurance will cover it you can have laser treatment.

If it helps 2/3 of women have excess hair.

If you don’t have sensitive skin there are affordable hair removal options at places like Walmart or cvs. Such as Nair

My mom had this problem. She had laser removal. Some do payment plans

Laser hair removal! Slows and thins the hair! Just started doing it and it works wonders.

Need to see a Dr. Who understand hormones…your testosterone is too high, and probably not enough estrogen and progesterone…

Defo pop to the drs and ask them to check. Do you have pcos?

Gillette, and some shaving cream, or a real good barber! Nothing like a fresh straight blade shave from the barber

Speak to your doctor! There maybe medication that could help? Try not to shave but hair removal cream for now, but definitely speak with a gp before you take any huge step without medical advice! All the best

Laser hair removal. Money best spent

See your dr about using an anti androgen pill and also do laser hair removal .

I would go to your doc and get your hormone levels checked! I know so many ladies who have gone through the same thing.

Go to your dr theres medicine to get rid of it

Have your Dr test your testosterone levels.

Unfortunately welcome to PCOS (assuming you’re diagnosed) club. I’d kill to figure it out. I’m 30 and can grow a better beard than most men I know :woman_facepalming::woman_facepalming: each year the hair keeps getting worse and growing up higher on my face. Have tried prescribed medications, waxing, nair/veet, laser hair removal, you name it, I’ve tried it. I’ve resorted to literally plucking it, and I swear I spend at least 2hrs daily plucking. I hate it and it’s so embarrassing!

See a dr, get some tests, a dermatologist, laser or waxing, sometimes tho, it’s there to stay no matter what you do. Even lasers don’t always get rid of it completely.

If you are able, perhaps it would be worth looking into laser hair removal.

Laser, or sugar wax.

Laser hair removal if you have dark hair, otherwise electrolysis. You can use Nair or wax in the meantime or pluck with tweezers if there’s not too much. I get threading, but it’s not available everywhere, and can add up depending on how often you need to go. Not sure if hormone replacement therapy would help, I just toughed it out through menopause.

Also, we don’t say “beard”— these are stray eyebrows.

That is a disease love ! Go to the doctors so you can get on medication! It’s horrible people are laughing at this when it’s a real problem and shaving is not the answer ! I wish you the best :pray:t4:

Go to the Dr. and get your hormones checked. Try to get an appointment with an endocrinologist. And learn how to wax your face.

I tweezer I guess but thyroid, hormones, and pcos

Tweezers… it’s hormones.

Not much you can do, as a person who worked in nursing home facilities across the state, in the alzheimer and dementia wards, I saw elderly women with beards daily. I think it just happens to most of us as we age. Waxing or laser hair removal therapy by a licensed dermatologist or esthetician is your best bet.

Get checked for PCOS. May have higher levels of testosterone. Facial hair growth is very common in PCOS

Its ur estrogen levels lowering 2 the point where ur testosterone levels are higher than estrogen. it’s common in menopause if u haven’t already gone through the change u might be starting soon. See an obgyn 2 see about hormone enhancers. That’s what they told my mamaw anyway when hers started. But it is very common in older women

Get your hormones level checked to see what’s causing the facial hair growth. You may also want to try using an IPL device like these Best IPL hair removal devices 2024 UK: Philips, Braun and more

In today’s world, it is acceptable. HA

I have high testosterone, and we’re checking for himrutism

I believe that’s a hormonal thing…although a friend of mine started growing some hairs in her chin area when we were in college and her doctor then told her it was a genetic thing. Also, wax it instead.

The funny thing about electrolysis is, they make you shave it before they do the procedure, and if the procedure doesn’t work, well… you hafta shave from now on

I’m sorry to say this but its probably natural. Wax it, get you one of those face trimmers, shave it, pluck it.

How sad definitely dont shave if you wax or use a hair removal it wont grow back as thick over time

Regular waxing can help :slightly_smiling_face:

Electrolysis is the answer

So sorry I hit the laughing emoji. Didnt think this was real. Just shave.

It is normal as we get older

Check out doctors farmacy. It’s dr Mark hyman on his fb page or the podcast doctors farmacy.
Definitely see a doctor.
An elimination diet for about 30-45 days then low inflammation diet to maintain is a great place to start. And getting basic vitamins and things like probiotics, prebiotics, digestive enzymes ect…
For thyroid iodine and selenium help along with a low inflammation diet.

You need to see endocrinologist it’s not normal you need medication

Consider laser treatment  if its thick, waxing & plucking will get tiresome.

Talk to your doctor there is medication you can get to stop facial hair growth.

It could be a sign of pre menopause or menopause. Docter check up needed first

Get your testosterone checked!

You’re developing a beard, it sounds like one of the common things of menopause, But I would still see a doctor just to see if there was anything they could do about it or maybe even see if it’s hirsutism. And if it is hirsutism there are lots of support groups out there. I myself have been having issues with facial hair due to my PCOS and it’s been since puberty and I’m now 33. It’s not a fun thing to see in the mirror but sometimes there are things that can be done to help

Embrace it like the masks dont wanna shave mask on lol no it sucks yes your starting the change

Get the sugar waxing done… It stop the growth of the hair.

It’s actually normal when you go towards menopause …. Just talk to your doctor so they can help you find a way to stop it.

DO NOT SHAVE. Unfortunately it does require a trip to some kind of doctor…just to be sure. I would personally choose a naturopath because hormonal testing isn’t necessarily something that your MD will do without cause…like if they assume you’re starting menopause.
Get a full hormone panel and go from there.
As an esthetician I can tell you - hair that is shaved gets broken and that’s why it comes in darker/rougher. Wax or pluck for maintenance.
You could also look into Ayurvedic medicine which deals with a lot of hair issues through lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, meditation, supplements)

Professional wax. Wait 4 weeks to grow it out long and thick so the wax will rip out the root. Youll be smooth :heart:

Poor woman and y’all are laughing at her. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves!

I’m 41 and have been shaving every day since I was like 18 or so, I wished now I would have never started shaving and had it taken care of some other way, I did ask a dr about it and they wrote me meds for 5 little pills they didn’t so anything but make my period last a hole month and I was only like 21 then and have never said anything else about it :woman_shrugging: I’ve just gotten used to it now being 41 and living with it for so long

Buy a wax kit and READ directions and wax away, it’ll take a while to master it but I personally do it myself because I’m honestly ashamed to go get it done professionally.

You problem need hormone therapy

You need hormones, menopause is probably around the corner or your already full blown into it. Your estrogen levels are dropping. You need to get to your doctor.

Guys it’s probably not pcos given age. Probably menopause. stop trying to diagnose….

See an endocrinologist and have them test your levels and get checked for premenopause and menopause.

Beard-less women are a social construct! Stop the oppression!

See your dr for medical advice

I was diagnosed with pcos and had more facial hair than my boyfriend. Waxing cause my skin irritation and breakouts. I went to my dermatologist. I paid for laser. Best money I ever invested in my life. I only see one or two a month.

Highly recommend laser therapy. My beard started at about 35ish, thick and black. I went a few years with plucking but it was a constant battle and I’ve since found out plucking is the worst thing you can do! My hair is very dark and I’ve always been a bit furry. I had a round of 10 laser sessions and I’m completely hair free on my chin and neck now. I occasionally get the odd one that I just shave off. It was costly but I have my confidence back and it was one of the best purchases I ever made.
