I am afraid that I am going to miscarry again: Advice?

I’ve miscarried 3 times and just found out I’m pregnant. I’m terrified that I am going to miscarry again, should I go in for a pregnancy confirmation and also to see if the OBGYN has any tips for helping me keep this pregnancy or is it not necessary? Also any tips from you mamas out there would be wonderful!

Yes… it’s possible you may need progesterone to keep a pregnancy.

Probably should get your levels checked. You may need progesterone to maintain your pregnancy.

I would. Sometimes hormone imbalances can cause it.

I would ask if they can check your progesterone.

Go in ASAP to get levels checked. I had to take progesterone so I wouldn’t miscarry.

I am sorry for you losses, sending positive vibes you way

See if you carry a blood clot disorder that was my problem they put me on meds and I had a healthy baby

Get progesterone from your dr asap

I am so sorry that you’re going through this. But have faith! My sister had 6 miscarriages and a tubal pregnancy, but was finally blessed with a baby boy in May… Sending lots of hugs and prayers for you!:pray::hugs::hugs::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

This is just my personal journey. I have an almost 9 year old that I had before I ever worked. I had a really stressful job both emotionally and physically. While there I had three miscarriages. Now that I’m again not working I’m 17 weeks pregnant. Obviously it is different for different people but for me not being physically overworked is working. I’m sorry for your losses and I hope and pray for you!

Go and get confirmed for your pregnancy and then go to the obgyn.

Go to your doctor asap and if they don’t suggest ask for progesterone to keep the pregnancy and dont work out just walk, don’t lift anything heavy

Try to take it easy relax try nt to stress i know its scary ive been there positive vibes to you

Go see your doctor make sure they know your history, you will be listed as a high risk pregnancy which means they will pay way more attention to what’s going on, the little fluctuations etc. Good luck!

Normally a Dr wants to check your levels several times early in pregnancy.

Sometimes the prescribe aspirin.

Get progesterone checked ASAP!

Incompetent Cervix. Cerclage. Progesterone. 3 things you should research !!!

:pray: Lord I just pray for this woman that she has a healthy baby and for her health in Jesus name I pray Amen!

I would say, get your levels checked and try and relax as much as possible. Try your hardest not to stress over it. If you start thinking negatively about it, try and think of something else. I am praying for you.

Absolutely go see a doctor

Get progesterone checked!! I have pcos and that was the first thing my doctor did was check my progesterone.

You should Talk to your doctor as soon as you find out you’re pregnant no matter what, because you want to make sure everything is okay.

I had 3 miscarriages in between my son and my daughter and they did early ultrasounds to make sure baby was alright and checked to make sure my levels were doubling correctly multiple times (with my daughter)

Try not to freak out as you don’t need the added stress (impossible I know)

Yes, go see your doctor. Since you have miscarried in the past, they will monitor you as high risk. Many will also provide help to prevent miscarriage. I would say it is essential to call right away to speak with your team

Definitely go see an ob or midwife ASAP. There could be something causing repeated miscarriages and they will have lots of tips to help you out.

Definitely go to an OB and explain your situation. They’ll give you the care you need. More than likely they’ll prescribe progesterone to avoid another miscarriage. Happened to me but the progesterone along with other vitamins helped.

My mom had 3 miscarriages before she had 2 healthy pregnancies keep faith it will happen when its meant to praying for you

Definitely see your OB because u have to have a certain number of documented miscarriages before they will do further testing to determine what possible issues could be.

My sister kept miscarrying and she had a infection in her uterus. What is apparently very common in women but it only affects you if your pregnant and it’s just a antibiotic .

Yes, go get the confirmation.

Go get confirmation they should know you’ve had previous miscarriages. They will schedule more appts to make sure you and baby are ok they might even send you too a specialist so if something does go wrong they know what happened. God bless you and your child. Hopefully you’ll go full term this time. I’m sorry for your losses before. I’ve been there.

Sorry for your loss. Ask your Dr. If uou have a tipped uterus. I had one and had a miscarriage. The Sr., said I would have to wear a brace that held it up until the uterus grew large enough to hold itself. I had three children. Maybe this is helpful.

I also had 3 MCs before my 2 rainbows were born. Try not to stress and prayers!!

Most times when women miscarry it’s because the pregnancy wasn’t viable. Unless it’s your cervix or something like that, i don’t think there’s much you can do. Prayer!

I had multiple miscarriages in the past. My doctor put me in an vaginal dose of progesterone this time and I’m now 38 weeks with a healthy baby boy!

Go to obgyn asap as in tomorrow and request/demand blood tests to check progesterone and make sure you have enough. Ordered stat due to recurrent miscarriage. If you don’t have enough body can not sustain baby. My cousin found out at 6 weeks she was pregnant at dr she had no idea and they checked progesterone bc of her age. Late 30s. It was way too low. She had 3 other healthy kids. They immediately put her on progesterone. I have had a miscarriage between my 2 daughters. Next time i get pregnant I will insist on progesterone levels checked immediately as soon as i know I’m pregnant around 5 6 weeks, well before 8 weeks. (8 weeks is when I was first able to see dr with my 2nd pregnancy and there was no heartbeat.) I then miscarried naturally at 11 ish weeks at home and had sonogram after to make sure all was ok inside. Cleared to try again the next month after period (bc I didn’t have dnc so didn’t need healing time etc) and had healthy baby girl. So my advice is definitely get hormones and progesterone checked asap do not wait dont let them tell you its not necessary or can wait until 8 weeks etc etc. If they say no go to another dr and get your blood taken for that. Sometimes its a test they’ll draw one day and the next bc should be doubling etc depending how far along you are but also good to know if at an appropriate level period to sustain baby and pregnancy. You use those 3 miscarriages as the reason you need blood word today not next week etc. Could make a difference. Hopefully everything normal healthy levels. And I saw in women with multiple miscarriages they prescribed progesterone even if their level was ok bc it helped I guess. So find an obgyn who will care this much and also be your own advocate if needed! Ask about starting progesterone now and how and if it may help. Don’t be afraid to speak up. And get different dr if yours isn’t putting having a healthy baby first and trying to prevent another miscarriage.

You need to get a cerclage to prevent a miscarriage my daughter had two miscarriages herself and she had to get a cerclage to prevent the third miscarriage

Stay off your feet and keep your feet up elevated !!!

I had 3 miscarriages before i had my son. I thought i couldn’t have kids. So I was suoer paranoid with him. I honestly just rested and relaxed a lot with him until i was in my 2nd trimester. But yes call ur obgyn make an appointment and talk to them they will let u know what to do. Btw I now have 3 beautiful kids.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I believe this time will be different. This time try not to worry. Remember all that you feel is what baby feels. Eat healthy, rest and relax. Enjoy

Just do as your doctor says. I’ve had 3 miscarriages. I have a rainbow baby who will be 10 in Dec. Try to enjoy the good.

Were you tested to find out what caused the losses? I had two losses myself, and after being tested, I found out I have some genetic blood condition that I didn’t even know I HAD, (I had had two healthy girls before the losses - they’re 19 and 15), so when I became pregnant again, I was able to get the proper medication to ensure the delivery of a healthy baby. (Who is now 10 years old). Hopefully, they can find out what caused your losses, and prevent another one. Good luck! (Sorry if this is so long!)

I lost 5 before we had our daughter, I had an overactive thyroid. They removed it and gave me hormone replacements. She is now 40.

Def go to your doctor and ask these questions. Until then, relax and take lots of deep breaths.

Absolutely you need to go to the doctor and let them know you have a history of miscarriage.

Progesterone and maybe getting the Rhogam shot early if you are a negative blood type.

I know it is hard but have faith don’t worry that is stress you are putting on you and baby

I would go. They’ll probably do a blood draw and if your progesterone isn’t high enough to sustain pregnancy they can give you a prescription for it. (Progesterone and estrogen are 2 hormones your body naturally releases to sustain pregnancy) also avoid orgasms and penetration as well as anything that would raise your core temperature (i.e. baths, heating pads, long hot showers, hot tubs etc)

Progesterone pills in beginning and then shots later.

Usually my doctor won’t see me until I’m after the 10 week mark because I have the same problem with not being able to carry a pregnancy

See your ob gyn. They might be able to check for hormone imbalance

The only thing I can suggest is don’t let them do any Pap smears and don’t have sex. Not until your further along

Consider a high risk obgyn

Have them check your progesterone. Luteal phase defect is real!

I miscarried 3 times in a row. Then got pregnant with my now 2 year old. I worried every second. Even with the doctors saying everything is ok, I still worried.

Coming from someone who has also had 3 miscarriages, go ASAP. I’m blessed to have 2 living children. There are reasons they keep occuring. Do you have any other children?

I had 5 and 2 kiddos…take care of yourself as best as possible. I was put on progesterone that helped. But you will worry up to the end

Get tested for antiphospholipid syndrome and see doctor asap. Say a prayer  he is powerful  :raised_hands: trust in him!

I would go into the OB as soon as possible, verify the pregnancy and speak with them

#1 don’t stress! It’s bad for your mind and body. Stay confident friend❤️
And it would be a great idea to see an OB. I was prescribed progesterone and took baby aspirin as a preventative measure. We suffered 2 miscarriages before having our 1st baby. Stay positive and trust your body!

Go to doctor and ask if cervix is strong enough to hold baby They can stich you up till time. I found that out years ago after I lost a baby 09 weeks premature, one at 3 months, and then another one at 9 weeks premature(thank God Douglas survived). It is just a thought.

I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy but did not have proper insurance so I didn’t have a regular doctor. After my miscarriage I got one got pregnant two months later and he started me on progesterone right away I also had spotting so that’s why he prescribed it. I now have a healthy beautiful baby girl!

Talk this over with your doctor for monitoring but also be postive. Learn the Law of Vibration/ Law of Attraction and how it’ll help manifest a healthy pregnancy and baby. Watch Bob Proctor on fb and youtube, also Dr. Joe Dispenza. Sending prayers and healing for you and your family.

You maybe need a new doctor because there are preventative measures to take to ensure you carry the pregnancy as mentioned progesterone or IVIG which is an infusion given a few times not to mention of course pre natal vitamins
Good luck!

If your miscarriages are early in pregnancy it may your progesterone. If you ob/gyn can’t find the problem or why find another. Do like me if all else fails go to a fertility specialist.
