I think we all feel this way a little, especially with our first. I think talking to your docs about the things that make you scared can help. Or just look up positive birth stories and read a few :slightly_smiling_face:

Try to let it go and trust the professionals. It never goes how you think it will. Worrying won’t help. Just trust and pray!:two_hearts:

Honestly I felt the same. It wasn’t that bad. I had some complications but it was nothing like it was in my head. Hang in there.

How far along are you? The bigger you get the more ready you will be. Lol I was terrified at first but once I hit 32+weeks I was like can we please just do this now?!

A couple pieces of advice
#1 talk to your doctor about the concerns or fears you are having to see what they can do.
#2 I’d suggest taking a birth class to help you feel comfortable (unsure if it will help or not? I have personally never taken one but YouTube is a girls best friend….
#3 if you have someone your close to whom has given birth maybe try talking to them and see if they can offer you any advice.
#5 My biggest piece of advice is to believe in YOURSELF & trust your body Good luck mama !

I was scared as fuck, I wanted to get out of my skin and body when the time came to push :joy::joy: it hurt me, but it doesn’t hurt everybody

I am no help. I had this dreadful feeling with all my pregnancies. Probably an effect from the crap @$$ labor and delivery experience I had with my first babe

Listen I’m gonna be 39, due in May, still afraid every time. It’s normal. Talk to the Dr, let them alleviate your fears, positive birth stories, encouragement from partner, friends, family, and prayer if that is your thing, all of those help. Your body is made for this and can get you through it. Chin up. Look at all the mammas on here already supporting you. It will be ok.

It doesn’t matter how many births you’ve done there’s always a little fear there.
My advice is your body can handle anything, your working with professionals who will talk you every step of the way.

I’ve done natural birth with gas & one with epidural.
This time I’m all in for epidural again.

If there’s other questions you need answered I’m happy to try & answer them for you

It’ll stop when the baby is here

One thing I can tell you is that once you get into labor it will be like a curtain is pulled between you and this realm. You won’t be thinking in rational or logical terms. Birth is a miracle and you can’t wrap your head around it. But I promise your body knows what to do. Try watching homebirth videos on YouTube to see the reality of undisturbed birth.

Can’t say I was terrified,a little scared maybe but once u get in the delivery room all ur fears will go away,I gave birth 3 times and with each birth I had absolutely nothing for the pain,I done it all natural

You need to have a birthing plan. Ask questions write them down. It will help ease your worries. Also helps your doctor and nurses.
