My girl is like that and a found that goodstart works wonders… doesn’t bother her at all. And when she tried other formula or different types of milk it would hurt her belly!

Good start works, as does soy based.

My daughter was on the alimentum and did very well with it

Pediatric GI put my little on EleCare for her allergies

Similac Pro-Sensitive. It’s for lactose issues. My daughters PCP said say always from soy as it can bind the baby up even more

I used the Enfamil Sensitive formula for my first child. She stayed constipated. Nutramigen made her constipation worse

I tried everything for my daughter who had like symptoms, almost every formula on the market including Alimentum which was less irritating to her than others but Nutramigen was the best and she rarely had any adverse reactions to it. Definitely worth a try it was a life saver to me.

Novalac for constipation is available in chemists it’s great but expensive,my son suffered bad constipation as a baby we used this a t first with a small dose of actilax(advised by specialist)then we switched to soy formula when he became more regular, good luck it’s heartbreaking to see your baby in so much pain for something that should be simple

Soy based also put some dark Karo in bottle 1to2 teaspoons have 5 children 10 grandchildren 3 had same issue

These drops are amazing! My son gets constipated when he is with his dad, so I asked him to use this. They are natural, so your child doesn’t get the nasty side effects.

Similac Alimentum just remember when switching formula it takes a good 10-14 days for take effect

We have to use alimentum with my almost 7mth old… took me 5 different formulas be4 this one did the trick! It was bc she had a few issues during her birth and it caused her to have some lower digestive issues…

Try Similac soy. That’s why my daughter ended up on.

My youngest is 4 and has had a milk protein intolerance since birth. She used Alimentum. It was the only one that didn’t cause issues for her.

Ive tried everything every brand out there in store. Similac had to be the worst for my baby. This is expensive if you buy it yourself but the wic can give it to you. Also ask your doctor sometimes they have this or another that doesn’t contain milk, allergies formula you can try first. I was struggling breastfeeding. I wouldnt produce enough milk so i needed something on the time i couldn’t give anymore.

Put a little karo syrup in his bottles

Nutrimigen! That’s what my son had to eat with milk allergies as well.

I have dealt with milk protein allergy with all of my kiddos so I have extensive experience and knowledge in this subject thanks to our wonderful pediatric gastroenterologist. It depends on the type of allergy/Issue and if it is a true allergy or a sensitivity. Most people do not understand the difference between lactose intolerance and milk protein allergy. It seems that pediatricians these days are diagnosing these issues without the consult of a pediatric GI, and they are lumping these completely different issues together as one in the same, further contributing to the misinformation and confusion about them. If it is a true milk protein allergy and not just a sensitivity, you will need a formula that is 100% milk free. Which means a lot of these that are being recommended, such as Similac Sensitive, Nutramagen, or Alimentum, will not work. Similac sensitive is lactose free, but it IS NOT milk free. There is a difference. Nutramagen and Alimentum also still contain milk. Babies with sensitivity to milk proteins benefit from these because the milk proteins are broken down, making them easier for the baby’s body to process. BUT they still contain milk proteins.
Those formulas are advertised as being for milk allergy, but if it is a true serious allergy, those will not suffice.
Some babies that are allergic to milk proteins are also allergic to soy, and have to use amino acid based formulas such as Elecare or Neocate. Those are quite pricey, and they don’t work well for all babies. My oldest son tried them both, and they made him very sick.
Many babies with milk protein allergies do okay with soy based formulas. My kiddos had to use soy based.
Similac Isomil and Enfamil Prosobee are both soy based. They contain whole soy proteins. Some babies have a bit of trouble breaking those whole soy proteins down and get constipated and/or suffer from gas and gastrointestinal upset on soy formula.
Gerber Good Soy has by far been my favorite soy based formula. It is the only soy formula that contains hydrolyzed soy proteins, meaning they are broken down and much easier to digest. We have seen absolutely no constipation, gas, or tummy troubles with Gerber soy. If you are needing a soy based formula, I definitely recommend trying Gerber Soy first.

My son had both he is on Similac Alimentum and is doing well

Similac Soy Isomil was the only formula that worked for my daughter

Enfamil prosobee has worked for both my sons and to keep my baby on a regular schedule we give him a probiotic in his bottle and he poops everyday

Ask your pediatrician about Similac Alimentum! My oldest had these issues and we tried a few formulas until his doctor suggested that one. She had to write a prescription for WIC because they didn’t cover it at the time.

Goat milk formula. Only thing that helped my son gain weight and not have issues. I bought goat milk and had a recipe to make formula out of it. He loved it too.

My little one had a milk protein allergy. We went to a pediatric GI and were put on Elecare formula which is amino acid based. It helped him so much.

Carnation canned milk and corn syrup. You heat water to a boil with corn syrup in it, then the carnation milk gets added stir and dump into fridge safe container or milk picture all u need is something to cover the top last 48hrs in fridge warm on need. We were feeding the baby’s 4oz bottles at first then 8 Oz then 12 Oz till they were two hope it helps if not I’m sorry that just what I used and worked better then formula

I used isomil soy based

My baby had issues with milk so we gave her Elecare.

Google and research homemade formulas. We Used powdered goat milk and came up with what worked for us from the recipes. Pediatricians approved it and said it was better than store bought formulas. The goat milk came from a company in WA state. Mt Capita, spelled it wrong most likely.

Probably need prescription formula from MD.

I used Enfamil liquid concentrate with both of mine. I believe they have it in soy too.

Give it 2 weeks for the previous one to be out of her system and I had to switch to soy formula and she was a completely different baby! So much happier

Soy Similac isomil! I swear by this, both my boys where colic, acid reflux and had an allergy to milk. After trying all the expensive ones with my oldest, we finally tried this one, it was a game changer. As soon as my youngest started showing the same signs we switched him to it also! Good luck momma!

Gerber good start soy is what my doctor recommended when my son was a baby. He also told me to give him a tbsp of MiraLAX in his bottle but I would ask your pediatrician before doing anything

Just plain goats milk. My midwife recommended it, and I happened to have a friend with goats. First time we tried it my son had been tragically, yes tragically constipated for over a month and he drank a bottle of goats milk and pooped that very afternoon. Needless to say, I went out and got myself some goats lol. My last 3 babies were raised on it. Never had a single issues with any of that colic or constipation stuff babies go through on goat milk.

Try relactation-you can call the La Leche League hotline for detailed help.

Similac soy and add a nightly probiotic drop

My son took nutramagen which worked well for those issues but my nephew took a few trial and error kinds to find what was best for him… Talk to the pediatrician and go from there… Mine gave me samples of different stuff to try and lucked out that it worked on the first kind

Similac Alimentum was a lifesaver for my kids!

With one son Similac Alimentum. The other a premie started out on pregestimil but the pharmacy was having problems getting it so we switched to nutramigen.

Similac soy has worked the best.
Nutramigen and Alimentum gave my babies terrible acid reflux.

Nutramigen definitely!! Went through so many and finally this was it!!

My daughter had the same thing and we used gerber hypoallergenic

Have you tried sheep milk

Check with Pedi first

Similac alimentum. It’s a hypoallergenic formula, my grand daughter got put on it at 1 month old due to milk protein and soy allergy

For tummy my daughter Isomilwith iron.

I don’t do formula - but if you’re eligible, wic will cover any formula with a doctor note since I see there’s expensive ones recommended. My friend had nutramigen covered by wic 100% with a doctor note. Good luck finding something, hun.

Soy.
I had to switch my son to it.
And he’s been amazing ever since! Gerber good start is amazing :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I thought this was something Drs prescribed. When I was on WIC they told us to have pediatrician to prescribe it because mom’s don’t know.

Soy and add a daily infant probiotic
