Is bleeing during pregnancy normal?

Has anyone had a period while pregnant? - I’ve read that it’s not possible but I had a really light cycle right after ttc & it wasn’t like my usual cycles. Also, with my first child urine tests were always negative for me - I had to get a blood test to find out and when I did, I was 9 weeks along. Can anyone relate? I did take a test this morning that was negative, it’s only been 10 days but I am having symptoms.

Thoughts? :thought_balloon:

I know people who had there normal period there entire pregnancy so i would say yes it’s possible early in preganacy especially if your period wasnt normal

I had a 2 day period this pregnancy and am currently 13 weeks plus 5 days. It was very light I don’t think I’d call it a period-more like spotting.

There’s a girl in a moms group I’m in who is 20 weeks & still has a period.

I did the firs 2 months

I had my period for two months of my first pregnancy. I was in my second trimester before I was late.

It could be possible that that period wasn’t a period but was implantation bleeding.

I bleed for the first 9 weeks straight with last pregnancy. Everything was ok, doc had no idea why it happened. With my first kid I had a light period which was not normal for me so I tested an it was positive

Could have been implantation bleeding. I bled for like a week with my first

The first time I was pregnant I had a period every month for nine months lost 5 lbs didn’t know I was pregnant till he started kicking

Sounds like your pregnant. Congraduations!!!

Full period for entire pregnancy with my oldest. She was due March 20th born Dec 5th. Didn’t know i was pregnant until i felt movement, no weight gain or symptoms until labor.

It’s possible to have monthly bleeding while pregnant. I did for a couple of months, however my mom did through her entire pregnancy with my younger sister. Its typically light, only lasts a couple of days and is either pink or a true red (not dark red or brown).

I had 2 light periods between when my son was conceived and when I found out.

It definitely is possible. Lots of women have had periods throughout their whole pregnancy.

My roommate skipped one month and had her period for the next 8

my x sister in law did she didnt know she was pregnant either. with her son

My mom did with me that was 35 years ago and her doctor said sometimes it happens but it’s not really a period its just your uterus growing

Pregnancies never showed up on tested for me until 12 weeks. Hcg levels are different for everyone… My aren’t strong like some so it took longer.

Yes my mom had her period for 5 months

There can be regular bleeding during pregnancy, but not an actual period, its not possible.

I had periods for the 1st trimester all 4 pregnancies

Its most definitely possible. Happens a lot more than you think

I had three, full blown periods while I was pregnant.

Yes,my aunt did the hole time 9 months

I had to have blood tests as well bc even at 42 weeks the urine screen was negative. I also would have small cycles throughout my pregnancy.

I had a period during my first pregnancy until i was 4 months along

I had it still when I was pregnant with my 2nd child I had it in the first few months

My mom had her period 5 months into her pregnancy with my little sister. Lasted 5 days and once a month and happened when her cycle would have came.

I had a regular period for the first 3 months I was pregnant with my son

With my son I had a period my entire pregnancy, every month on cue, with my daughter I had one for the first 4 months. Didnt have any with the rest.

I didn’t know I was pregnant until I was 4 months along with my first - I had 3 periods after I got pregnant. Obviously, it had to be something else, but we never figured out what it was.

Yup had my period… So never thought i was turned out i was 12 weeks…

You cannot get your actual “period” when pregnant because you do not ovulate. Bleeding is possible but it is not your period. If you are bleeding and actually pregnant it is possibly implantation bleeding. There are also many other things it could be if you are bleeding while pregnant. 10 days is soon to try a urine test. Usually after you miss your next scheduled period is a good time to take a urine test. If you do wait and don’t get your period and the urine test is still negative than you should talk to your doctor about getting a blood test.
