I get unique names but unique spellings is what gets me. I have Katlyn (pronounced like Katelyn minus the E) and Lillian. My nieces are Whitnie (not unique in spelling) but then there is Gabryele. Its hard enough finding the spelling of my name on things and same for my oldest.
I have a cousin named Jareth… close to what she was thinking.

My daughter has more unique name. Always disappointed when she couldn’t find any personalized items in stores. Keep that in mind.

I was going to name my son Justus… instead of Justice… because he was a product of Just Us! Never used it because a close friend of my husband’s passed right before he was born and we decided to name him after him… Joshua.

We did this in our family. Husbands name is John, my sons name is John and my daughter is Jocelyn.

Lots good choices, or can go the k route, next baby with an L name etc … it’s the Parents Choice, when you’re one then you get to choose too for your child!

I named my almost 14 year Jaxen thinking it was unique but it became popular a few years later. Look up old timey names, or names of your great great great grandparents etc

Named my son Jaze. It’s originally Jase, a name from the Bible. But my sister’s and I decide to change the S to Z. he’s name is Jaze Tyler.
Jeremiah, Judah, Jesse, my all time favorite… Jack (my last name wouldn’t allow for me to name my son that!)
Jarlaxle is pretty unique. I always loved Joseph but that’s more common.
I wanted to name my son Jace but my hubby didn’t like it (reminded him of someone with a similar name).
My sons name is Jameson but I know a few people who*s names are Jensen and Jarin

Jett, Jasper, Julep* julep moreso of a girl’s name, but so is Addy —which is what I call my son, Atticus
We have “J’s” in our family: Jason, jim, James, Jimmy, Jordan are the boy J’s
They have to live with the name so need to take that into consideration also.
I have 3 grandsons, 1 son, and a husband who all start with J – Jay, Joseph, Joshua, James, and Jude.

Jacques ( my hubby’s friend’s name is spelled this way but you say it like Jock or I know someone with last name spelled like this and it was pronounced like Jakes)

Would he be called Jer for short or Jerry? You can go to Bible for some very unusual names with J’s : Jeremiah, Jehu, Jehoshaphat, or Jeroboam! Be careful some had bad reputations and no one would want to put that off on their child!
Joshua is not unique but not many in my area.
Please consider the kids in the future… what happens when a letter arrives for J Lastname… who gets to open it…
