I had other names picked out Noelani, Charisma, Aubrianna, and at one point when I was pregnant with my 3rd I had the name Lavender on my list. It was the name of a character in a book I was reading.
My daughters name is Bailey, that was my maiden name. You can spell it a couple different ways, and you don’t meet to many Baileys. Buts its not so far fetched that people have a hard time with it, especially when she starts school/work

I suggest keep with traditional spelling, but go with something old school and rare…eg tabitha, rose, may, daisy, penny, daphne. I feel old school names are classy and sophisticated esp for girls who become strong women.

Our daughter’s name is Phoebe. It isn’t that common. I think a lot of people associate it with the character from Friends, but my daughter is named after her great-grandmother. I haven’t met any other little Phoebes around. I think it is a unique name.

Having a weird name with a weird spelling has been a curse. Everyone I meet has trouble with my name. No one can pronounce it, spell it, or remember it, and they always ask me if it’s short for something else. I’m 60 years old and still hate my name.

to write amd spell it. not only that people will pronounce it wrong if spelled unique and then you got a pisses off you and frustrated child. Play around with the middle name. Be easy on the child. Im saying this as a parent who see’s the dumbest looking kids names that pare ts thought was cute. From kinder to middle school… Just stop playing around and making names complicated.
