I got the mirena iud in august 2020 I had normal periods for the first 5 months then they stopped until August 2021. Around that time I started having pain and cramping during and after intercourse, my doctor told me that it was normal and she did an ultrasound to see if my IUD was in place and it was as of September 2021. Now since January 2022 I’ve had only brown/black spotting for a day or two (when I’m supposed to get my cycle) and still having pain during/after intercourse.
is any of this normal? My insurance won’t cover to take my iud out unless it moves… and my doctor can’t get my in the office until the end of august.
