My youngest did this. Whenever she was upset, she would “pat ears”. She even held onto my ears while trying to fall asleep at one stage. She’s 4 now and if very over tired or upset will pat my ears.
Could be self soothing, teething, or small chance of ear infection. If she starts having a fit get her checked out but I dont think you have anything to worry about

My 1 year old pulls his ears when tired also… I just put him to bed🤷♀️
Yes normal. But keep an eye out for possible infection.
Rubbing it more then just before sleep, redness, lack of hearing (doesn’t respond)…
It’s a common thing and sometimes can be overlooked and get war jnfectins. But it’s rare.

My daughter rubs her ear or mine or daddy as like comfort and when tired. I did the same as a child and do it now as well sometimes. It’s normal I guess.

I took my son to the doctor when he starting doing this. I wasn’t sure if he had an ear infection or what. Our pediatrician told me “he discovered he has ears”
