I’ve had three kids. (I am 32), kids are 11, 8, & 3… I’ve had bad periods all my life and have also suffered from miscarriage more than once. But as of recently, my periods have gotten to the point where it brings me to my knees. Sharp shooting pain from and into my back as well… I’ve had check-ups, and nothing has ever come back… Am I just crazy, or should I continue to seek for some help? I’m in so much pain; it’s unbearable…
Get on the pill and take the “active” pill constantly; therefore, you won’t have a period. My doctor says there is no reason to have a period unless you’re trying to become pregnant so there’s no issue in not having a monthly period. I had surgery to determine I had endometriosis. My periods were extremely painful.
I’d go to your GP ask to be reffered to gynea and they can do some investigating.
I suffer terribly and Its because I have endometriosis xx
Have you considered a hysterectomy? I had what I didn’t need removed about 3 years ago because my periods were bad and Im loving life period free. Wish I’d done it sooner. I’ve got 2 kids ages 13 & 17 so no way was I having anymorem
Go see your doctors
Not Facebook for medical advice
Also I had a uterine lining 2x as thick as usual I had a DNC and they scraped it. Helped for awhile. My Dr is putting me on the pill and I’ll skip the period ones. We will see!
Yes! Obgyn for sure! You can get a D&C and different things for that kinda problem. Have it looked into!
Endometriosis, probably,birth control will
Fix most of your issues, went thru this at age 27-28,
You probably have dismenoria that’s what I had and the pain would bring me to my knees! It will get better when you go through menopause but for now drink beer on your period, there’s something about the yeast in the beer mixing with your body yeast that calms down the cramps also pain killers,go to your dr and tell them that your period pain is unbearable and he will give you a present! Also heating pads and water bottles work good!
She a lady dr. They seem to listen more.
I went on the pill and got mine under control. I just recently stopped taking it as I’ve started menopause.
Drink lots of camomile teas, it helps.
Stay away from red meats 2-weeks before your cycle , and try birth control pills to help with periods too.
That’s what works for me
Are you seeing an OB/GYN? They should be able to help.
Sounds like endometriosis which are cysts on your uterus. See your gynecologist.
Id go talk to your ob doctor and see what can be done
Go to the doctor you could have cyst on your ovaries
I was like that. I had endometriosis.
What does your gynaecologist say?
Try taking vitamin k
Talk to your doc about endometrial ablation. I’m an RN with ob/gyn experience, and I had the procedure myself. It’s super easy, virtually no down time. It will at least help your periods, and you might be like me-I was one of the lucky ones and I never had another one…and now I’m 50, so I’m done with that nonsense lol
I have endo and know horrible pain. I got an IUD because I get blood clots and can’t be on pills or patches or anything that releases hormones in to your blood stream. I also tried the shot ) it makes you fat). The IUD is supposed to case lighter, shorter periods. Well, this was a godsend!. My period stopped and I have NO PAIN. This was the best thing ever. Try it. It takes minutes to have inserted and lasts for 5 years!
You should be checked for endometriosis. I had the same symptoms and that was what my doctor diagnosed me with. Very painful. Praying for you.
I had fibroid tumors and it got bad on me. I couldn’t live with it. Periods lasted 10+ days, the pain was unbearable. I have 2 boys so I opted for a hysterectomy. No more pain, no more periods, hormones leveled out (I still have ovaries)
Had problems in my late fortys , had A D& C done helped for 6 months but then started all ovet again , so since I wasn ’ t planning anymore kids after having 4 boys I haf A complete hysterectomy , told OB Dr. To remove everything & don’t leave nothing that might have to be removed at A later time , that was 19 years ago and was the best decision I ever made .But only U & your OB can decide whats best for you , good luck
See you OB doctor…I was having the same issues they gave me a choice between a hysterectomy and what’s called an ablation…the ablation has worked wonders for me…periods pretty much have stopped and the pain has went away…recovery from the procedure is the day of it…and the. Back to your daily tasks at hand…Highly recommended!
I knew i had adenomyosis (enlarged uterus). Had a few test done & that all doc could find. He said it was up to me if i wanted a hysterectomy. BEST THING I EVER DID (had a partial). After surgery i was told i had endometriosis & fibroids. Pain & bleeding was terrible.
10 years ago I had a surgery called ablation (spelled wrong) where the dr uses a saline solution and washes the cells on your uterus and my periods went 100% away. Never had pain again.
I had ablation because my cycles were so heavy that they made me anemic. The cramps were pretty terrible to the point of vomiting at times. Ablation didn’t help much with the bleeding, but did help with the cramps. My continuous birth control pills take care of my menstruation now
I was the same. I use yo get such hard pain and almost passed out. It turned out to be a fibroid on my ovaries. Please get it checked out.
I’ve ahead these issues too. I’ve had 3 miscarriages and the last time everything didn’t come out so my body thought it was still pregnant and kept lining my uterus and it hurt so bad I quit my job because I couldn’t get out of bed. I had a D&C, and my Dr put me back on the pill and now my cycle is not as heavy and not painful. I can now take a pamprin when my.cycle starts and then I’m good the rest of the cycle.
I had same issues for years. My dr didn’t do anything until I said it was impacting my daily life such as losing time off work and not being able to go anywhere, do anything. Then he finally did the cryo ablation therapy. Solved my issue. No more excruciating pain
My periods were the same I couldn’t get out of bed bc every time I would move I would hurt so bad and I went to get checked out and I did have some small cyst on my ovaries but my OB said they would go away on their own in most cases but I did get on birth control to help with the cramps and heavy bleeding and it has helped tremendously! I would definitely look into it! I’ve been taking the pill for 5 years now and never had weight gain or any side effects but I am currently off due to me and my husband wanting to start trying and I still have no side effects from coming off of it.
I have PCOS also. My periods were very heavy & cramping was bad. I became anemic. I was through having children. I had a D&C & abalation & its the best decision I ever made. No more periods or cramps.
Have your doc do an ultrasound…better safe than sorry. My baby sister suffered from wicked periods after the birth of her last child…docs kept blowing her off, but evebtually (2+ years after onset of severe symptoms) a substitute doc did an ultrasound and found very advanced ovarian cancer. I am not a medical person…and clearly am not offering a diagnosis…am only pointing out that you know what s “normal” for you better than anyone else…so keep pushing docs until you have a believeable answer to the symptoms.
I had a hysterectomy. My uterus was the size of a basketball when they took it out and no one knew. I had many tests and everything always came back normal, even though I told them I was in horrible pain. I had to go to three different doctors to find one that would do it. I have four kids and my tubes had been tied for ten years. Turns out I had a rare disease. Best decision I ever made. No more painful periods. No more periods at all! Yay!
I just recently had surgery. I had several ovarian cysts and some endometriosis. I had bad and painful periods too at times and I had two cyst burst which was extremely painful. I wind up in the ER and they did a CT scan on my stomach so that’s how it was discovered. That could be something you might want to look into. I will be praying for you and hopefully you will find out what’s going on. They had to remove one of my ovaries but I haven’t been able to get pregnant yet.
I never had any issues up until a few years ago (in my mid/late 30’s)and then all of a sudden I was having such intense pain that actually felt like I was in labor for 6 to 8 hours on the day I started my period…I went to numerous doctors for many years to try to figure out what was causing this and finally went to a specialist and she put me on a birth control pill. She told me to only take the pill that makes you NOT have your period and just continue with the “non-period” pills (basically, I only take the first 3 weeks of the pack then start a new pack)…I have not, one time, had an issue since!!! Such a blessing!!!
I had the same symptoms. Once I had my last children (twins) at 38 the dr talked to me about a hysterectomy. I waited til I was 42. They found I had endometriosis all over. Had to cut it away from My back, bladder stomach and colon. Now I am 56 and feel great! I feel your pain.
I was having 3 periods a month. Very painful. My sister in law said should ask my dr about balloons ablation, best thing i ever done . They burn the line out. You keep you lady parts.
After 4 kids and very painful cycles, I had a total hysterectomy in 2013
I had endometriosis and had horrible periods for years and the only thing that would lessen the pain for me was 2 800mg ibuprofen and a heating pad. I would lay down and have my knees up and the heating pad on my belly. I do know that as women get older our periods change usually for the worse
I had unbearable pain for a year (I would throw up from the pain). I got an HSG (where they shoot dye into you and take an X-ray). They discovered that I had a good number of and large polyps. I had surgery soon after and have had painless periods.
In order to rule out endometriosis you need to have laparoscopic exploratory surgery. Also, if it is found to be just that, then your doctor will remove what he can while he’s in there, hopefully providing you some relief.
I had terribly painful periods, tried birth control pills, ablation, nothing worked. Had a hysterectomy and it turned out I had adenomyosis. I had never even heard of it before.
I had pain like that and it turned out to be a cyst in my ovaries
I had the same thing. So I had a full hysterectomy. I was done having kids. Best decision I ever made and it saved my life. They found stage 2 uterus cancer.
I had what sounds like the same thing, after 3 children I had a hysterectomy, my doctor described it as dysfunctional uterine bleeding
Your Maybe Going Through A Pre Mature Change of Life,…It Also Co
My periods were the same I just started taking BC continuous not giving my body a chance to have a period its been over 6 weeks since ive had 1
I feel ur pain I had my uterus removed 10 years ago age 34 I had enough been happy every since had 3 kids I was done
Just make you have a really good endocrinologist and a surgeon that specializes in womens health. Endometriosis hurts
Get another opinion. Periods shouldn’t be that painful
I had mine taken when it was like sitting on a stick being jammed in or yanked out. My uterus had fallen. I could actually feel it, right there! OB should be able to help ya out!
If i was done having children i would have that uterus jerked out.Sometime birth control helps the cramps.
I went through the same thing. I’m 42 4 kids. Just had a hysterectomy 6 weeks ago. Just now starting to feel amazing again after being in pain 24/7
I never could have a child. Polycystic ovary disease and extreme endometriosis. I had a total hysterectomy and it set me free.
See your obgyn if no results find a women obgyn … that is not normal!
Hysterectomy is what happened to me. Same symptoms. Sorry.
did you have a tubal?
Sounds like it might be endometriosis.
I had the same problem plus had to wear diapers so they did a partial hysterectomy on me when I was 27
I have endometriosis & ovarian cysts, getting on Birth Control continuously (no period breaks) has helped my pain.
Umm… at 32 with 3 kids you should be old enough to know better than to ask people on fb and just make a damn doctors appt with a specialist. wtf.
I went the same thing finally at the age 34 they found fibroids cysts i deceide to get a partial hyst best desicion i made if your done having children why not. Your suffering for nothing i could work when i got my periods it was so bad i couldnt even stand up cause it would rush like a fault hope you feel better
Look into endometriosis. Is intercourse painful at times? Do you cramp up afterwords? Could very much possibly be Endo. Follow up with your gyno.
Hysterectomy!!! THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!!!
If you don’t want anymore kids you can get an ablation.
I went through that I had a hysterectomy and was so glad I did it
Plzzzz Keep searching. You cd have endometriosis!! That will not show on ANY imaging tests. …only exploratory surgery (I had it TWICE!!) both revealed endometriosis…& they zapped it. YOU r listening to your body …your docs r just not HEARING you. Don’t discount your pain. You can also talk to a medical Intuituve…she/he can identify & YES even heal this (even remotely like via Skype). I’ve had sev healings w this modality TOO. Blessings to you!!
Sounds like endometriosis. Had it when I was 21.
I have pcos and mine are like this. Find an endocrinologist
Request a sonar on your uterus. I had to have a hysterectomy at 28.
You really need to check with an OB/GYN.
You’re dr. Make an appt
PCOD? I had it and was successfully treated!! Good luck❤️
You should see a dr!
If youre done having kids ask your doc about a hysterectomy.
Novasure ablation and D&C. Best thing I ever did. Dont put it off
Best thing I ever did. Hysterectomy

Magnesium supplements will change your life
I had an ablation done to me no more periods !!
Endometriosis my dear, I suffered with it for years.
I had the same thing. Got a hysterectomy. No problems since!
Sounds like endometriosis

Visanne is a medication to treat endometriosis and Adenomyosis. I have both.
Yep sounds like that is what it is.
Hysterectomy helped me with all those issues.
See a pelvic pain specialist… They will look at all possible causes
Keep looking for help
Yes please get checked
After my 3 child I also started having severe pain with periods…took a few years for the dr. To find the problem…I had adenomioses…problem not spelled right…basically the opposite of endometriosis . Caused my uterus to look as if I were 4-5 months pregnant and needed a hysterectomy…was also very rare for someone my age at the time ( 37) to have that…if you haven’t yet ask for a MRI, that is the only way they found what I had, ultrasound didnt pick it up…pain brought me to my knees, vomiting, extreme pain…wishing you luck, keep on the drs to find the problem
I’m 9 weeks out of a partial hysterectomy my periods were horrible pain radiated from my knees back all over I had a dysfunctional uterus it also caused spotting and horrific bleeding hysterectomy was the way to go for me wish you the best of luck prayers
Sounds like you need to find another obgyn that will offer you a amblasion procedure
I have PCOS and mine were like this
Could be a ovarian cyst or endometriosis… see your Dr or OB/GYN.
