No sugar, caffeine and he needs to see a doctor

She 9 now but now Iā€™m back with her not sleeping again and schedule has not changed. So now giving melatonin bath and pills before bed again I also later about 3 yrs old ended up having tonsils and adenoids out .

Try Protandim NRF2 expensive but good results. All natural no additives. Also builds up your immune system. Ā£11.50 per week. X

I have an 11 yr old with ADHD she was on concerta and it caused insomnia . After talking with her Pediatrician she suggested adding Intuniv at night and it helped a ton with the insomnia and with the weight loss that came with the suppressed appetite . I donā€™t know if your child is medicated or not but try talking to their dr

Be careful medicating kids for adhd and other behaviors. Most meds. Have a very different effect on these kids. Please only take advice of a medical Doctor.

Magnesiumā€¦works like a charm

My son used to wake up at 3 AM as well, he just wanted someone to talk to you because he was scared he would not go back to sleep. We ended up getting a small terrier who slept with him. After we got that dog he stayed in bed and slept all night because he felt secure and had someone to talk to you in the middle of the night

Talk to your pediatrician. Sometimes the medication they take for their ADHD needs another medication to calm them down and help them sleep

Hello Iā€™m sara fiance. How old is he growing up I had very bad ADHD and had trouble sleeping. They prescribed me clonidine it worked very well

Have him checked for a posterior tongue tie by a tie Savy IBCLC or pediatric dentist. ADHD and sleep issues are direct symptoms as the tongue will prevent sound sleep, cause apnea, and ADHD will result from poor sleep.

My friend would give her son Mountain dew. She swore that within 10-15 minutes he would get tired. I guess the caffeine worked opposite on him.

Try a weighted blanket. Iā€™m not sure how much it would help, but it helps me with my anxiety so Iā€™m not waking up in the middle of the night anymore and it helps my sons little brother who is 2 and full of lots of energy. His mom used one for him and it helped him to sleep through he whole night to the point she has to go in and wake him up in the morning. Hope this helps!

I know this has nothing to do with ADHD, but hear me out. Have you looked into cutting out red 40 dye? I thought my husband was crazy when he mentioned it when we were having sleeping issues with our son. It took a few days but he fell and stayed asleep better once we cut it out.

The doctor put my son on a low dose of clonidine, when he was about 8. Life saver! Until he was put on that medication. Heā€™d sleep about 2 or 3 hours, if that. And get up at midnight. For the day!

Clonidine. Yes! That helped my son to start sleeping more.

Iā€™d definitely recommend a neurologist. My special needs son is 4 and I was sooooo hesitant on putting him in medication. Heā€™s on clonidine and Abilify, he takes both for sleep issues (his brain doesnā€™t to into REM) Finally his neurologist sat me down and explained that I need to remember my sonā€™s brain isnā€™t wired like a typical personā€™s brain and it needs help falling and staying asleep. I know itā€™s scary but id definitely see a neurologist. Melatonin can also have the opposite effect on people and actually keep them up and itā€™s not made for keeping asleep, just to help relax and make sleep come easier. It gave my son night terrors. Good luck mama!

How old is your some? If he has ADHD you could try a little caffeine

Clonidine works perfectly for me and my nephew
