Nanny with mental illness history

Hi Moms,

I’m in the process of hiring a nanny (through an agency). I had an excellent initial interview with a very sweet woman who has a great background & over 9 years of experience. However, upon doing a simple online search (out of curiosity) I’ve come to find that 2019, for her, was riddled with depression, displacement, and even a brief stay in a mental health facility. I feel really bad for her, but I’m pretty sure I have to alert the agency of my findings.

Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nearly Everyone has a history of mental illness. But that doesn’t mean she is not capable of taking on this job. She got better. <3
