My ex boyfriend & I have a child together. He has never met him yet and our son is almost 7 (in a couple months) . His father has been locked up in prison for 4 years & some months. He messages me on a jail thing to ask how our child is doing & etc. (Which is fine). I’m just really paranoid cause he gets out of prison at the end of April. And he has threatened to take me to court for half custody. He don’t have a place of his own, he don’t have a job, and he was (idk if he still is when he gets out) bouncing from place to place cause of no house of his own. And my ex and I live in different states. Him & I had a couple issues before I became pregnant, where supposedly “blacked out” and he acted like he was going to stab/cut me with a piece of glass. He has said he wants to take our son out and take him shopping and etc. And said I don’t have to be there. But my son is Autistic & I don’t feel comfortable of letting him take our son anywhere especially with out me. I’ve been with my kids since day 1. My ex has mental issues due to his childhood life growing up. And his family hates me. (His mom is racist, she’s Hispanic). And I don’t want my child around any of my ex’s family. (I have my reasons). Will the court give him custody? I ain’t keeping him out of his kid’s life. I ain’t like that. I told him he could come visit with him. But I’m scared for my sons safety if he was to go anywhere with his dad. His dad isn’t on his birth certificate.
