I’m due within the next few months and I’m curious to know if anyone has used the depend adult diaper underwear after birth ? It sounds crazy but I’ve been looking at them wondering if I should buy them for after birth. I bled a lot with my first and was bleeding through pads to no end. I have blood loss anemia so I bled more than usual Also what other things did you bring for yourself that you seen as a must have? I have a huge age gap my kids will nearly be 9 years apart so it’s been awhile since I’ve had a baby.
I bought somw with my 1st. Its not a bad idea. Epsecially for nights.
Yep! I did with both babies. I used the Assurance underwear from Wal-Mart. They are SO much more reliable and comfortable than the funky underwear/pads that the hospital provides.
I’ve been thinking the same thing.
I used the discrete ones! Loved them
I would definitely buy some I think you’d rather have them and not need them xx
I used to use a similar product (along with tampons and pads) for severely heavy periods.
I used them with my first. No shame. Not like anyone but your family will know you’re wearing them anyways.
I’ve heard this is best option. Wish I knew this back when I gave birth.
The diapers are amazing! I used them And they helped control leaking and absorb so much better!!!
I used them! I ain’t even upset about it. Works so much better in case you have an accident or bleed through and it doesnt ruin your undies. I’m due in a few days… and plan on buying more!
I used them after my c-section. My incision had a hematoma burst behind it and opened three little holes. So I was bleeding vaginally and pouring blood from my incision. I used depends so I didn’t destroy all my underwear.
I was thinking about doing the same with this pregnancy after labor!
Girl yes! Love them things. Lol
I had a few given to me and i found bc i had an episiotomy i didnt have enough ‘cushion’ with them lol so I ended up buying the night time maxi pads and found they worked much better for me!!
Yes buy some! This is the secret no one ever tells you! Soooooo much better than worrying about huge stupid pads
100% yes!!!
I used them a few days before my water broke too and they helped lessen the mess cuz my water broke in bed
They’re wonderful
I did! With both. First one I about died and had 13 stitches inside and out. Bled for 4 months straight. The first month they was my life. My daughter, I bled for 3 weeks and I used them the first week! Best invention ever!
u can find off brands that work well too.i loved them aftr i gave birth.
Buy an over the counter iron pill and take it every other day this will raise your iron enough to help the anemia. It could constipate you so you may want to grab some fiber too but it made a huge difference for me
Honestly thought about it with my last one.
I did. So much more comfy than pads
I would go for it! Did you mention this concern to your Dr. Bc I bled very very heavily with my first 2 and had clots the sz of softballs. So I talked to my Dr and they were ready with a medication to give me if it happened again
Me to all of this: oh boy, idk wtf I’m in for…AT. ALLL…
Yup! I hated the pads so much diapers were the easiest!!
i I am gonna get diapers lol for me
I had to buy those and extra healing stuff and used it all . I bled for about 2 months . Also became incontinent for about 2 months as well. I had to carry two diaper bags. One for me, one for him
Yes yes yes! I used Always incontinence underwear when I had my first, cant recommend enough! I feel like pads bunch up a lot and just arent that comfortable but the Always underwear I bought were soft and extremely comfy and not too bulky. Plus the ones I got were slightly scented I think which just made me feel cleaner. As far as what else to bring to the hospital, we brought a speaker to listen to music, a boppy because the hospital pillows weren’t enough to prop her up to nurse imo, slippers and a robe…I just basically planned for anything that would mean maximum comfort while we were at the hospital lol
I did and I loved it!!! Even better if your breast feeding cut them up for your bras works better than the shitty little ones made for you bra
Yes, I really wish I would’ve bought those. And the only other thing we used at the hospital was the camera, phone, and a battery charger. Also our own soap because that made me feel so much better. Other than that’s it’s whatever comfy clothes and other things you wanna use
That’s what I’m gonna try this time!! I used the biggest maxi pads I could find last time and they were so uncomfortable but couldn’t go with anything smaller because the amount of blood.
I tried them. I hated them! I preferred the big old pads from the hospital.
Yes! I’m buying them again for my c-section. I loved them for over my staples & strips. Theyre way softer on it & breathe better then high cut cotton briefs.
Girl me to. Mines 9 now and I’m about 6 months pregnant now. I have been looking at them too. That’s crazy.
I just had a baby on the 2nd and I bought the Always Silhouette undergarments meant for postpartum… best things EVER!!!
Get them! That’s what I used
Yes if you feel comfortable. They come in different. Style’s. An feels great
I bought those and I didn’t like them. it was a pain in the butt having to take my bottoms off and the diaper underwear off numerous times a day to change into a new/clean one. I preferred my oversized postpartum “granny panties” that I got from walmart and the always- extra heavy overnight w/wings (size 5) and then as I bled less… I would go down to smaller sizes.
I am so mad I didn’t think of this
I got them with my second and they were awesome
Im hella boutta be wearing them
I refused to wear them… but then I went into labor and had a C-section and I wore them they are so much better than pads. And you dont have to worry about if the bloods going all over the place. I will get them when i get pregnant again Trust me. do it. BUY them.
I bought them and hated them personally (to each their own). I eventually bought Gerber cloth diapers and used those inside granny panties. Much softer and I didn’t feel… crispy lol.
I work home support and found a better product…like depends but put on like a pamper…straps wrap around so you don’t have to get undressed to change… great if going out
