Question for anyone who had a full hysterectomy?

Hi. I’m looking for any women who have had fullhysterectomy(everything) and needed HRT due to being a young age (I’m 28)? I understand no medical advice can (or should) be given, I medically need this procedure but I would love to hear from some women who have been through this for whatever reason and what their outcomes have been like. How have they managed the hormone stabilisation? What are they like symptomatically? Would even love to find some people going through/been through this to follow on Instagram?

Im scheduled fot a partial next week I do Not want to do HRT. Good Luck

I had a hysterectomy at the age of almost 31 and I am now 38. I have not had to have any hormone therapy. I just have night sweats that’s all I’ve experienced so far.

I had a partial and then they went back and took my ovaries. So I have nothing. That was all at the age of 25… I currently am 38 and have never taken anything. I feel I may have a little extra hair growth on my upper lip and chin but I just get regular waxing. I do get hot flashes occasionally but nothing a fan can’t cool down. :slightly_smiling_face: Good luck

Does this make a difference if you still have ovaries? I don’t know much other than what I’ve read.

My friend had it done at that age. She wishes she never had to get it done. She has no sexual desire whatsoever

To add to OPs question, how have y’alls sex life been if you didn’t to HRT? I’m scheduled in November and because of family history can’t do the hormones

I had mine at 26. 1 ovary left. And refused the hormone replacement. Family history of cancer and I did not want to risk anything. Went through menopause quickly and have no issues.

I had a full over 20 years ago. I had HRT through a patch that I changed weekly. After awhile, I started having skin reactions at the patch spot. So my Dr. Switched me to pill form. I had terrible night sweats, headaches and mood swings without the HRT. After several years of taking it in pill form, I weaned myself off of it by using a soy based over the counter product for menopausal Women. It worked. After a year or so, I quit taking anything at all. My symptoms did not return. I’ve never regretting any of it. I’m 53 now, still zero symptoms.

I don’t identify as female but I had everything removed tubes, uterus ,ovaries, cervix and tubes removed I’m 31 but I had it done at 30 but was already on testosterone before I had my hysterectomy. If I could I would have had my hysterectomy done sooner. People due use estrogen to balance their hormones out. It has definitely helped my life by getting my hysterectomy done I have no bad side effects from having it done either. The pain and pressure I had is gone

I had my uterus removed then my ovaries removed almost 18 months later. I was 41 when I had the completed hysterectomy. I did start with HRT and was taken off of it after a year. There are some natural creams that you can use instead. Your gynecologist should do labs to check your levels periodically.

After hysterectomy I have gained 70 pounds over 20 years. I diet but can’t loose no matter what. So the hormones do play a lot after hysterectomy

I had a radical hysterectomy at 38 but I did not have hrt. I did fine with no problems. Hormones can increase the risk of breast cancer. Do your research and do what you’re comfortable with

l Get paid over $109 per hour working from home. l never thought I’d be able to do it but my buddy makes over $18550 a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The possibility with this is endless.

I had mine but left ovaries.
My boss had hers young and took ovaries. Dr. didn’t want her taking HRT due to family history of cancer.
Only symptom she said she had was the hot flashes.
