Should babies show emotion?

Hello mamas i have a question, Is it normal for my 3 month old baby to not show emotions yet? Like the only emotions she shows is crying :disappointed: like she don’t smile or nothing:pensive:

I would talk to her Peditrician. I know mine asked if my son was smiling and cooing a lot at his 2 month check up.

My 32 weeker was cooing at 2 months and smiling by 3 months and I was told he may not do either untill 4 months because he would only be 2 months by his due date

My now 2 year old hardly smiled until around 6 months and just recently has started laughing, but she’s right on track and her ped isn’t concerned.

My 5 month old started social smiling at 3 weeks. By 3 months she was cooing and laughing. I would definitely talk to her pediatrician

My boy is a month now and smiles occasionally, his doctor said that by two months he should smile when I talk to him and such

Mine too. She’s mixed so we always called it her resting Asian face lol. About 3-3.5mo she started lighting up though. Making faces at her, smiling, talking to her, she would get all excited but wouldn’t make noises and she’d smile. Then one day she started cooing at the damn side of her crib :person_facepalming:

It’s possible the baby is just colic and needs time to grow out of it

My son was super serious as a newborn and up until about 5 months, and then he came right out of his shell and is the smiliest baby

I’d talk to your pediatrician

Some babies just dont smile coo or make noises as much as other babies just like adults we are all different but if it really bothers you ask your pediatrician at next check up
