Should I be concerned my baby is measuring 3 weeks behind?

I am 34 weeks pregnant but my baby girl is 3 weeks smaller than her age. Is it dangerous?

Maybe the doctors got the timeline wrong? It’s happened before.

Also, my daughter stopped growing at 33 weeks when she was in the womb, and she was 100% okay. I gave birth to her at 39 weeks exactly.

No it’s not dangerous. Typically babies can measure anywhere from 3 weeks smaller to 3 weeks bigger. Most the time it’s just due to not being able to know exactly when conception happened. If you are extremely worried about it I would ask your doctor just to get some reassurance.

I had my daughter six weeks early and she was only 2lbs she measured small my entire pregnancy. She was in the nicu for a month but only because of how small she was she couldn’t maintain here body heat. My doctor knew she was small and knew we had to take her out early so he had me get steroid shots to make sure her lungs developed as much as they could before they took her out. She is now 2 and healthier than my 4 yr old. Keep your head up mama everything will be ok.

My youngest (12 weeks) stopped growing at 34 weeks due to undiagnosed preeclampsia she was 4lb 13oz born at 37 weeks but if she’s just measuring small and you have no other symptoms (high BP, protein in urin, extra amniotic fluid and swelling) she might just be a smaller baby

Keep in mind the last month of your pregnancy is when the baby grows the fastest also!

My son started measuring small around 35 weeks, 36 weeks and no change, 37 weeks sent for an ultrasound. There was some blockage in the umbilical cord so my little man wasn’t getting what he needed. I was induced a couple days later (I picked the day) and my son was born. He latched on within 15 minutes and hasn’t stopped eating since lol. He’ll be 1 in July

Drs timeline could be off? Or she’s just a small baby.
My kids father was 5 lbs at birth and healthy. Our 1st born was 6lbs 10oz.
Some babies stop growing around 33-34 weeks and it’s normal. I wouldn’t stress about it unless Dr says otherwise and addresses a concern

Remember the last part of your pregnancy is when the baby puts on the most weight. Don’t worry she will be fine. Maybe she is just going to be a small baby.

They told me my son was 3 weeks bigger I had him on the 29th he was only 8lbs 4oz my smallest baby yet

My son was small. But after he was born, he had low blood sugar. And was in Nuic for four days. I pump, getting my milk to come in faster. He didn’t like formula, so had to pump a lot while in hospital. But he’s two months old and had grown so much. And my doctor was worry when I was pregnant. But he’s just perfect.

No, not dangerous. Stop stressing. It’s gonna be fine!

My doctor told me my whole pregnancy that I was going to have a big baby, even telling me at my 36 week appointment that he was weighing over 7lbs. He was wrong, he was smaller (6lbs) but healthy.

I was told my son was measuring small(was 40wks measuring 38wks). He was born happy and healthy at 8lbs 4ounces

My baby was measuring 5 weeks behind but got caught up now that I’m 39 weeks.
