My daughter is 16m and she hasn’t said a word… she will babble and make noises but no words not even mama… I told her PED and he recommended speech therapy but we don’t go til April… Anyone else experience this with their child ?

It’s totally normal . Don’t worry .

My grandson didn’t talk until he was 5. Now, we can’t get him to stop. My aha moment with him was when I noticed he wasn’t really talked to. I mean, how does someone learn to speak if they aren’t spoken to? So anyway I got the family to start talking to him about anything. He needed to hear the words. And eventually, he started talking back.
My son didn’t speak until he was 3. We started speech therapy at 18 months and be was diagnosed with apraxia. Some kids are just late talkers though.

When u see stuff, name it, car, truck, tree, plane, bird, cat, dog, ECT ECT , she’ll pick up on all of it, one day my son just started talking full sentence to me out of no where, he was 3
