Its more the damage you will create reporting this to the police or whoever. Have you stopped and think if your sister is good? Maybe not enough to buy a carseat right ? What about if those babies are taken away from theirs parents? Will you be happy then? Why instead of asking here dont u go and offer help to get them for the babies? Well the dates are typically stamped on the seat somewhere as well and the seats are good for 8-10 years after manufacturing date and those dates are typically at least 1 yr prior to purchasing… So with that being said and them being 1 and 2 the seats probably are only 3-4 yrs old…

Instead of reporting them why not ask their parents why the kids car seats are like that? Seeing as you are their aunt it’s your job too to look out for them so since it’s a concern why not buy them new ones? That way you know they have safe and comfortable car seats to use. I think its absolutely ridiculous how no one is taking this seriously. Do you guys not understand a carseat and the condition of it can make the difference between life or death? I mean I wouldn’t go as far as reporting them UNLESS you have addressed it with them and they still do nothing to change it.
I get she is auntie but it’s not her responsibility to buy them stuff, however it is her responsibility to help make sure they are safe.
Talk to them, see what the situation is, if they can’t afford it then there are MANY programs that’s give away free carseats. You just have to look and maybe help them with that but it’s not your responsibility to buy anything.
