What age should you take kids to Disney?

Not mom or baby related. But anyone who has been to Disney. I have a 6 and 3 year old and I want to plan a vacation for next summer when they’d be 7 and 4. Are those good ages for Disney? I have always wanted to go but my family could never afford it. And I want to be able to budget for it for my family of 4. I want to do all the parks. Not just the main one. How would I go about that? Do I have to pay for each park individually? How much money should I budget? I’m going to try and use tax money for this as well. But should I try and budget most of it and pay sooner? I’ve never planned a family vacation before. I’d love some input and help

You can price out a trip on the Disney website. Depending on how long you go for I would say about $2,000+ for spending cash

My husband and I took our daughter when she was 9. We had a great time and she was tall for her age so she got to ride all of the fun rides.

I took my kids 4 years ago (age 1 and 10) and again this year, we actually just came back from our trip (they are now 5 and 14) oldest loved it then and now and my youngest had the best time! I think it’s a great time to take them!

Reach out to Jana Faucett Barnwell, she planned ours for us this past Christmas. We went to a few different parks. She told us which ones was better for the ages we had and what we told her we wanted to do. Our youngest was 3 and it worked out great with his age.

Start paying for things now so when you get there it’ll be a lot easier for the unexpected and random wants and needs

We just went to Disney for spring break. I went on the Disney website and got our park passes. We did 3 parks, 3 days and cost close to $1,800 for 4 of us. Make sure you download the Disney App and transfer your park passes to that or get the armbands. Also utilize the Disney Genie on the app. The app was so helpful, you can order food, make reservations for restaurants, see wait times for rides, view a map of the whole park. If you do the lightning lanes, make sure you reserve your time slot on the app. Also pack a small cooler (we had a backpack cooler) with bottle water or other drinks and snacks. It’ll help cute down in the cost of drinks and snacks at the park. I would make sure to give a rest day in between Disney days, so you don’t get overwhelmed by parks. I’d also look into an Airbnb, it was cheaper than getting a hotel room. I’d definitely plan on spending $5,000-$6,000 (maybe more) between park passes, lodging, rental vehicle if needed, food, gas and souvenirs. I hope this helps, I felt lost when planning our trip and wish someone had give some of these tips.

In my opinion 4 and 7 are the perfect ages to take them to Disney, they will enjoy and also remember experience.
But , be prepared to spend a lot of money because going to Disney in not cheap .
You can look into the package that includes the parks and also the hotel , most of the time the packages also include transportation to the parks .
If you do not do it like that, you have to budget the transportation.
I went several years ago and not remember if they offer packages for all the parks .

Some tips !!
If you have a big stroller , take it with you or will probably have to rent one ( the parks are big and little kids gets very tired )

Have a bagto pack snacks and water ( everything in the park is expensive)

If you are going to Orlando , do not buy any souvenirs ( shirts , hats , toys etc ) in the parks , you can go to the nearest groceries stores or Walmart and just buy the stuffs there , they have everything the parks have but cheaper

My older daughter I took her when she was 8 when went to Disney world.

In my honest opinion, never. Disney is a money pit and over rated. However, I don’t think their is a age. They younger they are they won’t remember it, but you will.

I brought my kids, they were 10,9,7,6. Good ages

There’s never a “too young” age to bring them!! My mom brought me my first time when I was 5 weeks old (before she went back to work from maternity leave). I brought my granddaughter for her first birthday and have been taking her every few months since then!!! She’s now 3

I took my grand babies for 81 st time when they were 2 and 4 , they loved it planning on taking back maybe next year they will be 7 and 9

My only advice would be to plan on down time, pool time or some other way to give them time to unwind and process all the stimulation. Remember not to expect them to react like an older child or an adult would.

They have MVP (magical vacation planners). We just did one with our daughters family! She did almost all the work for you. Its a small down-payment and rhen
You can make payments ,up to a month before you go.

I just got back with my kiddos ages 8,7,3,3 they absolutely loved it!

I’m taking mine when they’re tall enough to ride all the rides.

Make sure to take lots of pics they don’t remember much at 4

They got rid of the bus that picks you up at the airport and the food plan since we we went last in 2016 . Pop Century was a nice resort if you’re staying on Disney property.
