My 7 year old puts washing away, cleans bedroom, makes bed, cleans bathroom, picks up dog poo, wipe sides well anything i request if she is in a good mood if not she tend to pick a job she wants to do x

My twin boys are 7
One twin feeds the dogs
The other twin feeds the chickens and they both collect the eggs together. Simple but gives them a little responsibility, oh and their room needs to be cleaned.

My kids love helping emptying the dishwasher and feeding animals. Sometimes they help pickup dog :poop:.

  • Making their bed,
  • Loading and unloading the dishwasher of unbreakable items or drying the unbreakable silverware and dishes if hand washing and putting away whatever they can reach.
  • Matching socks & folding washcloths and hand towels.
  • Putting their clean clothes away and putting dirty clothes in the hamper/basket.
  • Helping load the washing machine and putting clothes in the dryer. Might need a step stool for them to reach.
  • Pushing the vacuum while you supervise.
  • Take mop heads and put them on their feet and let them dust or wash the floors with them! Give them Endust & cloths and let them dust furniture legs.
  • Help plant and weed. Add dirt to holes, toss weeds in bags or composter, help pick out flowers, plant seeds in containers, break up sticks for yard waste bags.
  • Let them play with squeegees when bathing to clean walls & shower doors.
  • Get/hand supplies for changing babies, tossing dirty diapers (then washing hands), feeding babies baby food, entertaining babies, etc.
  • Putting recycling in the bin/s, stomping on plastic containers and drink cans to compress them for the bin.
  • Picking out their clothes for the next day.
  • Have a checklist for backpacks for before and after school and have them check theirs. Permission slips given to parents? Homework put in or taken out, sweaters/jackets in or out, lunchbox and snacks cleared out or put in.
  • Get the mail from the mailbox if you have one.
  • Have them stir, pour, measure ingredients when cooking, help shape hamburgers, meatballs, cookies, etc. Have them assemble ingredients and utensils needed.
  • Set the table with unbreakable items; glassware and china once they are able.
  • Ask them what they’d like to help Daddy and Mommy do or what life skills they’d like to learn. Give them some ideas: sewing/mending, checking the oil in the car, checking tire pressure and filling tires with air, filling the gas tank. If you can wash your cars yourself where you live, have them do the tires & anything they can reach.
  • Give guidelines and have them help you pick what they should pack for a trip.

Clean room, pick up toys or stuff they take out (like in a play room or in the living room), empty dishwasher, help take trash to the outside bins, help fold and put away clothes

if they had chores it would be keeping their rooms clean, sorting laundry, probably dusting, helping with dishes…

Putting silverware away from dishwasher, taking out recycling from kitchen, matching socks from dryer, taking dirty clothes to laundry room, picking up sticks from the yard. My 6yo grandaughters chores at home.

Mine do the dishes, help with the washing, feed the animals

Pick up items off the floor, feed pets, clean after themselves after meals

Load dishwasher , take out trash , dust !

Keep their room picked up, keep their bathroom cleaned (no harsh chemicals, just sanitizing wipes and sweeping/wiping down, restocking tp etc) and sorting clean laundry.

Setting the table, cleaning up table after dinner.

Move laundry… feed the dogs… pickup dog poop… help wash dishes… dry dishes.

My 11 yr old only has 4 things to be responsible for. She needs to be a kid before life hits her.

  1. Do her Schoolwork

  2. Clean her room

  3. Take care of her little Dog

  4. Take care of her Hygiene

Keeping room clean. Cleaning up toys when done.
