Need a little advice from my boy moms out there…
I have a 17 month old and i don’t know if it’s a boy thing but he just wants to let it all hang out!!! He hates wearing his diapers, takes them off at random times and sometimes even just pulls his diaper low enough to where his peepee just hangs out. He thinks it’s the funniest thing! We do also have a daughter so it’s been hard keeping him from doing that around her. I’ve been thinking maybe it’s time to potty train? What do you guys do?

Same boat here. Mine is almost 19 months old. Does the exact same thing. I’ve put him on the potty and he pushes and grunts. But always ends up peeing on something or the floor. So I’m not sure hes ready and he cant tell me he needs to go yet. So that’s a problem for me too.
Oh yea id start potty training make it super interesting and fun
Sometimes it’s a sensory thing, they just don’t like clothes. And in some cases 17months is too young for them. I tried early and my son didn’t get it until just before his 3rd birthday.
I have a girl who is currently doing this. Even takes her diaper off to poop. But cant tell me she needs to go 
My son just turned two and has been obsessed with his boy parts for months and months! He also thinks it’s the funniest thing!
I often tell him to “ put it away” when he pulls his stuff out of his diaper and he just laughs at me 
Yup pregnant with my 4th boy. They love their pee pee it never changes
I think it’s an age thing andni used it to our benefit and started potty training
Following, my son has been doing this since he turned 1!
I have a girl that does the same I can’t keep a diaper or panties on her for the life of me.
I would start to potty train and when not on potty keep a onesie on him to where he can’t get at diaper that what I have to do with my 19month old
I have an 18 yo and 14 yo and they both were the same way. Best way to potty train was let them aim to pee on a cheerio and peeing outside ( we live in the country )

My son is 5 and hates wearing clothes. As soon as he gets home from school he strips down. He doesn’t so much go naked anymore just strips down to his underwear. It’s hard to keep clothes on him lol wish I could say it gets better but boys are boys haha.

Yes hes definetly ready to potty train hes tired of diapers when my son started doing this we simply bought draws and let him wear his draws and bought a potty and he didnt pull it out when he had draws lol
I have 4 boys they are just like that. Love to be naked and free. It’s a stage. Communication is the only thing you can do.
My daughter couldn’t get through the front door fast enough before she started stripping her clothes off!!! 
It’s a boy thing. Prepare to say “PUT THAT AWAY!” More times than you’d ever imagine in your life 
Definitely start the potty process, sounds like he might be ready. Also see if he does it when he has wet diapers, he may not like the wet diaper feeling which is a good sign to start potty training. My daughter is 5 and a half, she’s aware of body parts by their correct name, and I’ve told her that if she sees it happen, to just come let me know so we can get some clothes and go on about our day, even though i have to do that 285 times a day I’ve noticed if I don’t acknowledge it and just tell him we need to stay clothed, get him a diaper back on and we go on about things as usual, he doesn’t do it as much throughout the day afterwards.

My 5 year old girl use to always take her clothes off and still does any chance she gets
My son loves this! We call it noody time at home we started potty training around this same time. Definitely a boy thing Haha
Totally normal lol, most babies want air on themselves cause it feels good. Boys tend to like letting it move freely and they are trying to figure out how their parts work so don’t sweat it.i have 4 boys and they are a mess lol
Normal. Teach about nudity. You’re not going to be able to shield your daughter from this.

Start potty training! That’s how my son was and was the one kid I had potty trained before 1.5 yr old. Lol
Its normal for a boy his age, as he gets older hell always be grabbing himself too lol. My son is ten, and as soon as we get home, clothes come off and he walks around in his underwear, just boys being boys lol
My son absolutely loves doing this! It’s a natural thing, he’s just discovering his parts. I would definitely consider potty training
I just laugh and tell my son to put it back in his diaper. Lol
Potty training time my son dose that so I started putting him on the pot for 3 minutes every hour hes still not catching on but hes learning better he gose pee in the potty every other time so that’s a start. Most boys do that to be boys as well.
Completely normal!!! May not be ready for potty training however…
Yes potty train and ti.e to teach personal respect and to cover your personal parts

Normal. My son is 5 and has been exploring more of his body. I let him but remind him to do it when nobody is around or when he is in the tub or bathroom. I also tell him that’s his private area so nobody can touch it and you don’t touch nobody else’s.

It’s a toddler thing.
Sounds normal. I had four boys. They all did this. You can’t completely stop it, but you can explain that it’s a private thing, & maybe suggest going in a bedroom or bathroom to do it. You can try potty training, just use lots of patience.
Boys… are obsessed with their junk (and think everyone else is too) from birth and it lasts their whole life . Hence the popularity of dick pics 
lol if you ask me a mom of 2 boys 1 is gonna be 3 and the other is gonna be 2 and YES ITS A BOY THING my son is constantly thinking being fresh is funny taking his clothes off his shoes off in the car , my oldest is my daughter and she never did anything of that nonsense

My son always did that when he was younger. Definitly start potty training and get him cool underwear he wouldnt want to take off. And start telling him that nobody should see his weiner besides mommy, him and doctor!
Super normal. I switched to pull ups and it’s stopped him from taking off his diaper but he’s just not there yet for potty training. In fact he down right refuses to learn I’m due with my 2nd boy in a couple weeks too so I’m in for double trouble lol

He’s preparing to potty train and getting familiar with his gear. . No worries. If you’re uncomfortable with his discovery and exploration, I would gently, repeatedly and without anger, focus on teaching him the need for private space for private things.
Please don’t get angry with him. So much is going on in his development right now. Be gentle.

Its a built in toy mom. My boys play with them all the time theyre 5 and almost 2.

Oh man… mine walks around full nude. He’s so clever, he’s fully toilet trained but has trouble taking his clothes off so he’ll tell everyone he needs to use the toilet to get his undies off… but then runs away 
It’s a boy thing. Id try pull ups with a cute design. I’d tell him that our privates arent for showing other people and tell him that you will have to put him back in a “baby diaper” if he doesnt keep it covered. I know I’m not the majority here but personally, it’s not a big deal to me. My youngest son is 5 and I have a 9 year old boy and an 8 year old girl. They all know about privates and the differences between boys and girls. But they also know they shouldn’t be waving their privates around and If they want to explore themselves, they need to so it in private. Of course this doesnt stop my 5 year old from running around in his undies all day. Cant keep pants on that kid when hes home.
I think hea a bit young for potty training but you never know.
I’m not sure how old your daughter is, but you can tell her that it’s just something toddlers do and if she sees him doing it, to tell you so you can discipline and correct that behavior. Explain that our privates are called private for a reason. We dont show them to other people. If you need to explore your body. You do it when nobody else is around. It’s a completely normal thing.
