What can I do for my daughter while we are out?

Needing some guidance. Potty training is in full swing and my kiddo is in full big girl underwear. Doing well down to very very few accidents a day. We’re taking her to the aquarium for her birthday tmr. What do I do? She’s never used the big potty over the little one and I don’t see carrying her travel potty around being a realistic option at all, what would you do? Thanks!!!

Put her on backwards facing the wall easier to sit on and lower fear of falling in lol

Just go straight to the adult toilet lol, help keep her steady so she doesn’t fall in and she will hold herself up eventually. My daughter never used a potty, she would only use the adult toilet.

Also make sure to ask very often because with the excitement she will forget and might have an accident. Put on black leggings so in case she has an accident it isn’t noticeable and take an extra pair of black leggings and undies lol.

Turn her around. She will fit perfectly. I did this with both my boys, this is actually how they potty trained. I never used a little toilet, for this reason. Start doing this at home as well, so when y’all are out in public she will be comfortable.

i stick mine in pull up when we have busy days out and she knows to tell me if she has to go or not. but mine uses potty with out the little seat over it so may be diff

Just put her on jt!! She’ll be fine. I never do baby potties or the seats that go on for this reason.

And don’t back track and use pull ups! You got this girl!!! :raised_hands:t2::raised_hands:t2:

Definitely work w her w the big potty before you go. For my son he has his little potty seat on the normal seat but on Thanksgiving visiting family they obvi didn’t have one so he had to sit on the big potty and I just reassured him it’s okay and held him so he didn’t fall in and he was nervous… didn’t like it but he was able to go! And make sure you take her to the potty before you leave as well to make sure no carseat accidents!

Pack some extra spare clothes.
Also practice on the big toilet at home.

We didn’t plan ahead or make it a big deal. We just put our son on the big potty and of course kind of held him there and he went. He never had issues going on different toilets vs potty chair etc.

Take her potty seat with u!!

Reward her for using the big potty while she is there. If she has an accident bring an emergency change of clothes. Don’t overthink it, I think you both will do great!

Pack extra clothes and pull ups just in case the over stimulation is too much. Ask her often if she needs to potty. Limit fluids.

Wear a pull up as a backup!

Either carry a change of clothes or use a pull up for the day. Potty training takes time, so this is part of the process if you want to leave the house during that process. Learning that toilets are outside of the house too can be good for her to learn

I would always make my kiddo potty before we left. And just ask 2 million times if they have to go. If she doesn’t want to go, don’t give her too much liquids and/or just do a “potty break time” every so often. Take extra clothes and undies of course. Accidents will always happen.

If u can, have her use the big potty at home before leaving(would’ve been better doing it sooner but life happens) put her on the big potty while youre out, get the folding travel potty seat. And go potty every 30-60 minutes to be safe.

Change of clothes
Every hour or 45 minutes you tell her it’s time to go to the potty.

Also explain to her the potty is a big one not like her little one.

I took them to the washroom before we left then when traveling on a bus the stations have washrooms so when I got to.one I took them a d then when we got to were we were going before anyrhing i took them again .I tried to time it every 30 mins for a good week or so them every hour

They have ones that fold in 4 that are for travel. Perhaps buy those.

Pull ups
They are like big girls undies
And absorbent like nappies

theirs toddler seats that fold right up that can fit right in your purse on amazon. I know not helpful for you tmr but an idea for other future outings.
just pack a bag with her basics and bring a portable potty seat that sits over the big potty, if you got 1?
other than that, be sure to remind her there’s always bathrooms allover while out and about, reassure her it’s ok to use and come to you to take her. feeling safe with you while bot at home will be the biggest challenge for potty training and outtings

Put her on the toilet and tell her to use it. Just because she hasn’t doesn’t mean she can’t.

Try walmart or target, they have kiddie tops that you can put on a regular potty.

How old is she, why hasn’t she used a regular toilet…

I got a collapsible toilet seat w a bag for travel w my littles

Jool Baby Folding Travel Potty Seat for Boys and Girls, Fits Round & Oval Toilets, Non-Slip Suction Cups, Includes Free Travel Bag https://a.co/d/hw3T4KU

It worked awesome

I trained my daughter on the toilet from the get go to avoid this. It’s like having to train them twice.

Practice using the toilet a few days before the trip.

Start now with no more potty chair and start using the regular toilet. Don’t make it a big deal something like she is a big girl now and potty chairs are for babies just learning, they have step stools for that purpose but warn her ahead that when you are not at home you will help her on and off the toilet and leave it at that. Also bring supplies in case of accidents and enjoy the adventure.
