What can I do last minute for a bad diaper rash my daughter who is 2 pooped in her sleep last night and for some reason didn’t cry I don’t know how long she was sitting in poop but her area is really red and has some bumps. I am using diaper rash cream from Walmart and baby powder she also had a bath but she is really struggling to sleep because of the pain, should I give her Tylenol and what else can I do tonight to help her sleep?
Go get some bagnalm it works really well
Cornstarch, plain ole corn starch
Mix diaper cream with a and d ointment and some cornstarch!
Aveeno oatmeal bath and triple paste after
Cornstarch absolutely! Use a ton of it in diaper. Just throw it all in there close up the diaper.
Corn starch in her diaper and dry her with a hair dryer (cool not hot air) when you change her it worked best for both my kids
Put Milk of Magnesium on it then blow it dry with a blow dryer.
Get a script for nystatin powder! Mix heavily with extra strength Desitin. Frost her bottom like a cupcake. Relief will be felt in one dose! Ask the pedi to keep a refill on file in case this happens again. Good luck!
Bag balm! Clears it up very quick and soothes the area to eliminate pain!
Calmoseptine. Ask the pharmacist about it. You don’t need a prescription but it’ll be behind the counter. Best stuff on the planet!
Just enough warm water in tub to cover bum , mix in about half box of baking soda and let little soak for as long as they will. Once out oat dry and allow to sit on towels or blankets till completely air dried then gently apply a layer of milk of magnesia (the liquid med for upset tummy) it pulls the acid that is causing the rash out of the skin. Every diaper change wash, dry completely and apply a new layer.
We used LOC Amway. Just a couple of drops on her bath water and it sure fixed that.
I always just used Vaseline but yes to the Tylenol
Give her a bath with some baking soda in the water. Then dry the area real good put the diaper rash cream then corn starch. My 10 month old just went through a week of constant diarrhea her rash got really bad. We did multiple baths with baking soda it’s soothes it. You can also use plain yogurt applied to the rash. I’ve done that before just let it come to room temperature first.
Oatmeal bath then lots of air time. Once she needs a diaper on try sudocreme or vaseline. Can also try some kid advil to help with pain and inflammation
I have always used aquaphor and it has worked wonders. Unless its really bad might need a script from the dr.
Corn starch. Clean warm face cloths every bum change and just corn starch.
I put this on first then cornstarch over it! I’ve tried so many butt pastes and this one worked the best for all 3 of my kids with cornstarch.
Invest in Gold Bond baby powder. Gone in 24hrs.
Def baking soda in bath and the butt paste I think it’s called. It’s thick and sticky like and always worked best for me
I have used regular monistat in the past when my kids had a bad rash.
Butt paste is very good. Gets the rash healed up in a couple of days. Walmart sells it. We used it in hospital with Newborn babies
Tylenol , soak her in a baking soda bath . Don’t use any bath stuff on her just soak in baking soda - relieves the pain . Leave diaper off as long as you can in between changes . Call
Pediatrician for a prescription diaper cream for this situation . It will
Improve . I am
So
Sorry . I know it breaks your heart
Triple paste is our go to!
Hydrocortisone…Vagisil… Destin… mix them together.
Get a small can of bag balm,my daughter had diaper rash really bad ,my mom put bag balm on it ,was gone in 2 days
Calmoseptine ointment…it’s usually back in pharmacy. You have to ask for it
Might want to go to the pediatrician sometimes they can get bacterial rashes
Sounds like a yeast infection. She needs Nystatin. Vaginal yeast infection cream will work too.
This is the best ever. You can over night it off Amazon. Warm rags until then?
Coconut oil and baby powder with cornstarch works wonders
Cornstarch!! Only thing I’ve used since my son was born 7 years ago and with my third. My 6 year old still gets sore sometimes and will ask me to put some cornstarch on him. I tell anyone who has a new baby to only ever use cornstarch!
mix resinol and corn starch into a paste. use like a barrier until healed.
Breast milk works amazing
Get this. Use it generously every diaper change. It will bring relief fast! Works like magic.
Mix butt paste and athletes foot cream together it works great a pharmacist told me about this
Cornstarch works wonders!
Pure cornstarch is all u need
Extra strength desitin and aquaphor is what works for my kids slather it on generously
Aquaphor and Vaseline is all we used for our kids when they had diaper rashes
Bathe in baking soda bath and cover the area with the inside of a aloe vera plant leaf try n leave uncovered if possible. Good luck
Thats more than one night’s poo to get so bad.
A&D ointment not cream!!!
