What can I eat to help my baby gain weight?

My son is 4 months weights 10lbs. We breastfeed and have been going to weight checks due to him going down on his cart we are now at 5 percentile for weight. Is there any good food that I should eat to benefit him? He also refused to feed yesterday

Babies are pretty smart, much smarter than we give them credit for. If he is in pain or your breast milk is upsetting his stomach he will learn to refuse it. Take him to a chiropractor. It helped my son immensely, the birthing process is just as hard on them as it is on us. I also had to put my son on goat’s milk and alternative formulas. At this point if he is refusing breast milk you might have to try some foods. Start with pablum. Eating anything is better than eating nothing. Good luck mama.

Breastfed babies have a different growth rate that formula fed babies. Don’t stress. As long as you have enough milk and baby is progressing, all is well.

Healthy fats, stay hydrated, protein. But; you should meet with an LC, I’m guessing there’s a transfer problem happening if baby isn’t gaining.

Refuses to feed like all day? Is this. A common thing, does he spew up a lot. So many questions

Question… was your baby premature?? Or did you carry to full term?? That could explain some things…
